The chalet, which is over 500 years old, is chef-catered and sleeps up to 20 people in style and comfort.
The views from La Maitreya's south-facing terraces are breathtaking, with stunning vistas of the Grandes Rousses mountains and surrounding countryside.
The chalet is superbly equipped and has wifi internet access for you to catch up on all your emails - or the sports scores!
La Maitreya is situated just outside Vaujany, and in the winter season, we provide regular shuttles to take you to and from the village.
Vaujany and nearby Alpe d´Huez together have over 250km of graded piste to enjoy - truly something for skiers and MTB enthusiasts of all abilities.
There's something here for everyone - winter and summer alike. There's skiing, hiking, swimming, ice-skating in the winter, with cycling, mountain biking, water sports, archery, tennis end even more to do in the summer. The only problem you'll have is fitting it all in!
Accommodation:
La Maitreya has 8 rooms, sleeping from 2 to 4 people, each of which has its own en suite bathroom, with shower, WC and basin.
The rooms are beautifuly furnished and most have south-facing balconies from which to admire the views of Lac Verney in the valley below.
The 2-person rooms can all be configured to provide either twin or double beds. Please remember to tell us how you would like to have your room set up when making your booking.
The living room in the chalet is warm, cosy and inviting and features a traditional wood-burning fireplace with comfy sofas to snuggle up on after a hard day out.
The dining room is located nearby and provides a wonderful place to relax and exchange news and views with your fellow guests.
There's a separate TV room with DVD player, where you can take in your favourite movie in comfort.
Or, you might want to take advantage of our sauna. With bathrobes provided, all you have to do is relax!
Cuisine:
Breakfast: This is served buffet-style in the dining room from 8 am. With the exception of the staff day off, a hot option will be provided, along with a selection of croissants, breads, cereals, yoghurts and fruit.
Afternoon tea: A selection of tasty cakes and bakes will be waiting for you when you get back off the slopes. These are served with tea, coffee, soups and fruit juice to keep hunger at bay until your evening meal.
Children's tea (if required): served at 5:30pm, we are pleased to provide a separate meal for our smaller guests, with tasty and fun things to eat!
Dinner: The highlight of the day for many, dinner is a four-course meal served with good quality bottled wine.
All of our staff are given one day off per week. On this day, a continental style breakfast will be laid out for you and you will need to eat out for dinner in the evening. Your hosts will be happy to advise you on suitable local restaurants and to make a table reservation on your behalf.
