A modern building with excellent facilities, FranRick Lodge is set over three floors, with self-contained living spaces. FranRick is ideal for those who want a catered chalet holiday with great food and wine, but also want to have their own space and privacy.

The location of the Lodge is simply perfect - just 100m from the lifts and cable car, and the same distance from the award-winning village crèche.

The skiing in Vaujany and Alpe d'Huez is extremely good - for people of all abilities. There's over 240km of pisted runs in the Alpe d'Huez ski area, with a myriad of off-piste routes for more advanced skiers and riders. Plus, we have a friendly and welcoming ski hire shop located just beneath the Lodge, so you don't even have to walk anywhere to sort out your skis!!
In the summer-time, there's a myriad of things to do - walking, cycling, mountain-biking, water sports, quad-biking, paragliding - or simply relaxing in the summer sunshine and admiring the stunning scenery that surrounds the village.
Transfer times are short - just 1.5 hours from Grenoble airport, with Chambéry and Lyon airports also within easy reach. For independent travellers, there's a free underground car park for 200 vehicles situated nearby, with even more free car parking just a short walk away.

The Lodge has south-facing balconies with superb views of the Grandes Rousses mountains and Fare waterfall. Each unit is stylishly furnished and benefits from the following facilities:
  • TV, DVD player and CD player/stereo.
  • Tea and coffee making facilities, with complimentary tea and coffee provided.
  • A selection of fresh fruit, replenished throughout your stay.
  • A complimentary bottle of sparkling wine when you arrive.
  • A selection of board games and cards.
  • A well-equipped kitchenette, with microwave, fridge-freezer and dishwasher.

Cuisine:

  • Breakfast: This is served buffet-style in the dining room from 8 am. With the exception of the staff day off, a hot option will be provided, along with a selection of croissants, breads, cereals, yoghurts and fruit.
  • Afternoon tea: A selection of tasty cakes and bakes will be waiting for you when you get back off the slopes. These are served with tea, coffee, soups and fruit juice to keep hunger at bay until your evening meal.
  • Children's tea (if required): served at 5:30pm, we are pleased to provide a separate meal for our smaller guests, with tasty and fun things to eat!
  • Dinner: The highlight of the day for many, dinner is a four-course meal served with good quality bottled wine.
All of our staff are given one day off per week. On this day, a continental style breakfast will be laid out for you and you will need to eat out for dinner in the evening. Your hosts will be happy to advise you on suitable local restaurants and to make a table reservation on your behalf.

We are delighted to offer the following additional services to our guests:
  • A complimentary ski-hosting service for the first three days of your stay with us - all we ask in return is that you can ski a red run with confidence.
  • Transfers from Grenoble (1.5 hours), Chambéry (2 hours) or Lyon (2.5 hours) airports, for which a small charge is payable.
  • Help with arranging child care in the award-winning crèche in Vaujany, located just 100m from the Lodge.
