    About Chalet Sapiniere

    • Chalet Sapiniére is a charming, traditional chalet, ideal for families, set amongst the pines with its own private driveway.
    • The chalet was built in the sixties and still boasts many original features although it was fully refurbished in 1994 and then extended during the summer of 2009 creating much more living space - especially good news for kids! 
    • It has 5 bedrooms and 5 bathrooms and sleeps 8 adults or 10 including children.
    • The chalet, surrounded by gardens and trees has a large, secluded sun deck, home to a beautiful oak-barrel Jacuzzi and with the piste just a couple of minutes walk away, is ideally positioned.
    • Although Sapiniere is the smallest and oldest chalet featured in our portfolio, it oozes charm and many guests return year after year to sample its unique ambience.

    We have a fully stocked wine cellar in each chalet with a large selection of wines, champagnes and soft drinks available although you are free to bring your own wine if you prefer

    Accommodation:

    • The newly extended ground floor now includes a marvellous slate tiled entrance hall, ski room with boot warmer and games room with billiards and Fussball.

    • Also on this level is a guest WC, laundry room, computer area with complimentary wifi broad band internet and a new cinema room with flat screen Satellite TV and DVD.

    • A twin bedroom with ensuite bathroom and children's bunkroom with ensuite shower (also ideal for a nanny) complete the ground floor.

    • On the first floor you will find the kitchen with serving hatch through to the pretty dining room surrounded by windows and spectacular views.

    • The wonderfully cosy sitting room has a large open fire place encircled by comfortable sofas and armchairs.  The sitting room also has a bridge table, games cupboard and music system. 

    • Next to the stairs leading to the second floor is a bathroom with Jacuzzi bath and separate WC.

    • The second floor consists of two double bedrooms both with ensuite bathrooms and a small twin room with wash basin ideal for children.

    • We also made a significant investment this summer in installing an ecologically friendly geothermal heating system.

    • Being one of the few chalets in Meribel to boast this environmentally ‘green' feature also means the old oil system has been replaced, so we are looking after the planet in more ways than one.

    Cuisine:

    • Cuisine is of the highest standard, but with flexibility, which puts you in control - you pay for food at actual cost, so you decide.  If you would like sautéed fois gras followed by filet de bœuf béarnaise with a raspberry pannacotta and wild berry coulis for dessert, then why not?  On the other hand, one evening you may prefer a light supper after lunching at the 2 Michelin-starred Chabichou for example.
    • Our chefs can create a superb menu tailored to your own pre-designated individual tastes and requirements and you just pay the actual cost of your grocery bills at the end of your holiday.
    • The final amount will depend on your choice of food and number of courses; on whether you return to your chalet for lunch (a very popular and cost-effective option last winter) or invite guests for dinner etc; but an average price guide is around €160 per person per week.
    • We have a comprehensive selection of wines and Champagnes in each chalet, from local wines at €8 a bottle through to fine wines at €30 so that you may dine, happy in the knowledge that you are in total control of costs.

    • Alp Leisure Ltd chalets are booked as a whole, so your privacy as a group is maintained, and the rental price includes the chalet, staff and all associated costs.
    • We employ our own nannies to join forces with our chalet hosts, chefs, house keepers, chauffeurs beauty therapists and masseurs in giving our guests the excellence of service they have come to expect whilst staying with us.
