Unique opportunity to stay at the infamous Chalet Tomkins in Meribel - half board package from €895 pp.

Chalet Tomkins was completely rebuilt in 2002 and finished to an extremely high standard.  The original chalet was built in 1958 by Sir Edward Tomkins one of the founding fathers of Méribel, on an old goat track, which is now Route des Chalets, the most exclusive road in Méribel.  The new owner, Sir Edwards's daughter, has recreated "Tomkins" with the essence of the old by mixing original local artefacts and family heirlooms with luxurious furnishings.
The chalet sleeps a maximum of 12 adults or 14 with children and is unusually spacious, built on 4 levels. Each bedroom has been individually decorated and the whole chalet has been furnished with eye-catching style. The chalet has six ensuite bedrooms; three doubles (the master bedroom has a Super Kingsize bed, the other 2 are Kingsize) all with private balconies and three twin rooms. One of the twin rooms is exceptionally large and the beds can be zipped together to create a Super Kingsize double - it also has two day beds which can be used by children, so is an ideal ‘family room'.
The vaulted sitting room has a large open fireplace and the adjoining dining room has a bespoke table that can seat up to 16. The views from the table over the peak of Saulire are particularly spectacular when lit up at night.
On the ground floor you will find a very spacious ski room with boot warmer, a guest toilet and a garage. There is also a newly refurbished TV room with Satellite flat screen HD TV, DVD and computer with WIFI Broadband internet access. If this isn't enough to keep you amused, there is also an adjoining billiards room, a spa area with sauna, exercise room (with Nordic exerciser and plasma screen TV) and walk-in shower. 
On the 1st and 2^nd floor levels there are large sun terraces with panoramic views of the surrounding mountains which include a large oak hot tub and comfortable teak steamers and patio heaters for your comfort. There is also table football and table tennis for those of you who can't sit still.
The main piste into town (Doron) is about a 60 second walk from the chalet and for those of you who know Meribel; you access the piste just above the fast 6 man Adret chairlift which means you link into the system without having to go to Chaudanne. For the most part of the season it is possible to ski directly back to the chalet.
You will find Chalet Tomkins a ‘fun' chalet to stay in, great for 2 or 3 families, as well as being the perfect place to unwind in tranquility and comfort after a hard days skiing in the heart of the 3 Valleés.
