  • A charming/cosy newly modernised traditional style studio apartment, with a sunny west facing balcony, located in the friendly village of Auron, in the Alpes Maritimes.
  • Situated just over 1 hour from the Côte d'Azur and Nice International airport, Auron is set in the Mercantour National Park and offers a massive choice of things to do in winter and summer.
  • At 1600m, rising to 2450m, Auron provides 135kms of excellent downhill skiing, cross-country skiing, sleigh rides, ice skating and quad biking.
  • There is also the option of skiing neaby resorts such as Isola 2000 and Valberg.
  • In summer there is a 9 hole golf course, tennis, outdoor pool, horse riding, white water rafting climbing, walks - or why not just soak up the sun and enjoy the charm and atmosphere of this fantastic area!

Accommodation:

  • The apartment has been modernised to a high standard and offers very comfortable accommodation for 4/6 people. Open-plan incorporating a mezzanine - there is a double sofa bed in the living area, a double bed and bunk beds in a seperate area on the Mezzanine.
  • New fully equipped kitchen, Bathroom incorporating full size bath & newly installed shower. Heated Towel rail, Fan heater for your extra comfort,  2 hairdryers and 1 hot brush provided for your use. Storage & towel rails.  Seperate WC.  
  • West facing sunny balcony with village & mountain views catches the sun in the afternoon, spectacular sunsets over the mountains.
  • The apartment is located 5/7 mins walk from the village centre and ski lifts,  in a quiet woodland area.  The Village centre is very old in parts which has been lovingly restored with a pretty outdoor ice rink. Both Auron & St Etienne de Tinee nearby offer plenty of tradtional french restaurants and bars. There are plenty of ski hire shops and boutiques to brows around as well as a well stocked supermarket for those everyday needs.

Cuisine:

The newly fitted solid oak kitchen is fully equipped with oven, double hob, microwave, fridge, kettle, toaster. All cooking utensils, crockery, cutlery & glasses provided.

More Info:

  • The nearby ski resorts of Isola 2000 & Valberg offer an alternative days skiing - but you will need a car to get there.
  • Only 55 miles to the Cote D'Azur so you could easly go for lunch in Nice Cannes or Monaco.  There is an excellent bus services from both Nice/& airport to Auron   for only 1 euro each way.
  • In summer you are just 5 mins walk from the large outdoor swimming pool, tennis courts, training climbing wall, and riding stables. 
  • There is also a Driving Range and a 9 hole golf course at the middle station. 
  • The cable car runs from December - mid april for skiers and July/August to transport you to the middle station where many restaurants stay open all the year round. Also you can continue to the peak enjoy the spectacular view or take a walk or picnic soaking up up the mediterranean sun
  • During the summer mountain bikes are available to hire from the many ski shops in the village. Excursions such as white water rafting, climbing and many other types of trips can be organised through the local tourist office in the village.
  • Nearby Isola has an indoor leisure centre with pool & slides.
