  • Chalet Claire-Marie is a well established family business with many guestsreturning each year. We offer our guests a relaxing chalet holiday away from the pace and stress of everyday life whilst enjoying some of the best skiing in the world.
  • The charming alpine village of Les Granges nestles in the side of the mountain on a sunny plateau 4 km above Saint Martin de Belleville and 4 km from Les Menuires, with Val Thorens, the highest resort in Europe at the head of the valley guarenteeing snow all season.
  • Chalet Claire-Marie is owned and run by Sylvia Savage who has 12 years experience taking care of clients in her lovely private chalet.
  • It is spacious but cosy and is ideal for families or a group of friends to share.
  • The chalet is located between St Martin and Les Menuires, and we operate our shuttles to both resorts.

Accommodation:

There are 8 bedrooms on 3 floors in the following locations:
  • First floor: 1 double en-suite bedroom. Bathroom with heated towel rail, bath with shower and wc
  • Second floor: is divided into 2 suites:
    • Suite 1: Double bedroom, 2 single bedrooms, bathroom with twin hand basins, heated towel rail, bath with shower and separate wc.
    • Suite 2: Double bedroom, 1 child's bedroom, 1 twin bedroom (bunk beds), bathroom with twin hand basins, heated towel rail, bath with shower and separate wc.
  • Third floor: twin bedroom with shower and wc. This bedroom can accommodate an extra child's bed or cot if required.
All bathrooms have complimentary lavender soaps and lotion from 'Durance' of Provence.

Cuisine:

We plan menus each week and our chef will be happy to make suggestions. All our meals are prepared using only the best produce available and we use local produce when ever possible.  vegetarian and special diets by request.
Our complimentary wines are from the Cotes de Rhone region where Sylvia personally chooses wine from small select properties.

There is a selection of fresh healthy options designed to tempt the appetites of our young guests.

Our chef has one night off during the week when you have the opportunity to try one of the local restaurants. Breakfast and afternoon tea will be served as usual.Breakfast

Cooked breakfast served with eggs of your choice accompanied by bacon, tomatoes and fresh mushrooms or choose a healthy option of home made fruit compot and muesli.

Juices, yoghurts, cereals and fresh fruit with croissants and bread from the local bakery and a choice of preserves.

Afternoon Tea

On your return from the slopes tea  by the fire afternoon tea will be waiting for you .Our speciality cakes include white chocolate and vanilla, carrot cake with carrot jam and mascarpone filling, and Chocolate cake with caramel crunch. Home made scones with strawberry preserve and mascarpone whipped cream filling are a firm favourite.

Dinner

An aperitif of your choice served with a selection of canapés, followed by a 4 -course dinner with complimentary wines.Complete your dinner with coffee or a selection of teas and infusions with chocolates .

Chalet Bar
A complimentary pre-dinner drink, wine with dinner are included in the price of your accommodation. We are licensed to sell alcohol and the chalet bar is well stocked with drinks at competitive

ACCESS TO LIFTS -We will drive you to St.Martin de Belleville or Les Menuires in the chalet minibus. We will take you to the ski lifts in the mornings after breakfast and return from the ski lifts in the afternoon in time for tea. If you prefer to drive yourself there is free parking close to the lifts in both Saint Martin de Belleville and Les Menuires.Other chalet facilities include: washing machine & dryer, boot warmer, WiFi internet, telephone/fax, DVD, TV(sky)
