  • This is a family run business providing luxury catered accommodation in the beautiful village of Madjare.
  • Madjare is located in the foothills of the stunning Rila Mountains of Bulgaria. The Rila Mountains being the highest mountain range on the Balkan Peninsular. Our lodge commands stunning views of the mountains, rivers and valleys. Quite and peaceful but still only 70km from Sofia and only 20 minutes drive from the international ski resort of Borovets.

  • We aim to provide you with a relaxing, stress free holiday by taking care of you from the minute you land in Sofia, providing you with everything you require for a perfect revitalising holiday in the mountains.
  • Our accommodation is spacious but homely and we will provide you with delicious home cooked food.
  • We cater for groups, families, couples or those of you who just want to get away from it all. Whatever your reason for visiting Bulgaria we are confident we can provide you with a memorable stay.

Accommodation:

The accommodation comprises:

  • 8 bedrooms (6 with en-suite shower rooms),
  • lounge with TV and log fire,
  • large dining area,
  • comfortable seperate lounge/TV room with card tables and tea/coffee making facilities.
  • kitchen, utility, boot/drying room and a basement storage area for ski equipment etc.
To take advantage of the beautiful views every bedroom has access to a balcony and for our summer guests there is an outside terrace and gardens. The lodge has central heating throughout.

Cuisine:

  • Welcome drinks/snacks.
  • Bed/breakfast each day
  • Evening meal for 6 days. (In the summer months we will use our own organically grown salads and vegetables.)
  • Wine, beer and soft drinks will be served with the evening meal.
  • On the one day an evening meal is not provided you will be transported to a local restaurant.

Summer:
In summer, few countries can rival Bulgaria's mountain scenery and 35,000km of trails on which to explore them. Its natural beauty and the rich diversity of fauna and flora are an asset treasured by the formation of no less than ten national parks.

The Rila and Pirin mountains rival the Alps with their rugged peaks, great ridges and panoramic vistas yet the Bulgarian mountains are relatively little visited in comparison to their more famous European neighbouring ranges; here you can really appreciate the peace and tranquility, and enjoy a sense of breaking new ground.
