Holidays in the Dolomites - Italy

Sitting in the north-eastern corner of Italy, close to the Austrian border, the resorts of the Dolimites offer fabulous holiday opportunites. Pretty Italian villages abound with different flavours and styles, steeped in tradition, and surrounded by spectacular views from every angle.

There is upmarket, glamorous Cortina d'Ampezzo, where the Sunday parades of well-heeled Italians in their furs are just as much part of the local scenery as the pink-tinged mountains around them. Smaller towns and villages, such as Ortisei, Canazei, Arabba and Campitello for example are all great bases from which to explore this beautiful mountain area in winter and summer.
