Morzine Ski, Snowboard & Summer Holidays
Part of the massive Portes du Soleil,
a picturesque town with excellent facilities for both winter and summer
Morzine is a popular resort with a little something for everyone. People wanting to experience a traditional small town ambiance, with plenty of opportunities for shopping and eating out, and a varied nightlife, will love it.
Families looking for entertainment and good children's facilities will also find lots to do to keep the younger ones happy.
It is well linked into the extensive Portes du Soleil area and has a frequent bus service to get you around town and to the main lifts with ease. It also has its own fairly extensive ski area, linked via the Pleney lift to Les Gets
It is a lively year-round resort and a bustling market town - the life outside tourism is still there, the agricultural heritage remains strong.
It is an ideal winter and summer destination in the Alps, and is just a short 1 hour transfer from Geneva airport.
Summer holidays in Morzine:
Morzine is a great alpine base for summer and there are plenty of things to do for everyone.
Extensive walking trails, mountain biking, via ferrata, paragliding, are just some of the activities available for all ages and abilities.
Far from being just a tourist resort, Morzine is a charming and bustling small market town, and it's agricultural heritage is still very much in evidence.
Along with it's smaller neighbour, Les Gets, just 6km away by road, the area has become something of a mountain biking mecca in recent year - often playing host to national and international competitions.
Road biking is also popular, and the town has regularly featured as a starting or ending point for stages of the Tour de France.
Situated at the confluence of several mountain streams, Morzine can also offer white knuckle whitewater activities on the River Dranse.
With a car it is easy to visit some of the most beautiful parts of the Haute Savoie - Annecy, Mont Blanc, Les Aravis for example - and Lake Geneva and its attractions are not far away.
