Its geographical position makes La Plagne the ideal starting point for cultural and sporting outings in the Alps (Italy and Switzerland are both close at hand).
There is a wide range of white water sports on the Isère and Doron rivers, which form the area’s boundaries. For the less intrepid, the shady beaches and relaxing cool of the lake at Macot may be more appealing.
Walking on the ice fields under the watchful eye of the Bellecôte Glacier, which reaches 3416 metres, opens up the world of the high mountains at the gates of the Vanoise National Park
