Sainte Foy is as beautiful in the summer as in the summer. There is mountain biking and white water rafting, rock climbing and paragliding. Take a gentle hike to the high mountain pastures, admire the stately Tarine cows and search for wild flowers. Enjoy the magnificent alpine backdrops.
Sainte Foy is an ideal base for walking with over 70kms of footpaths, and its close proximity to the Vanoise National Park. There are some exceptional walks for all levels: hiking and mountaineering, family walks, full or half day excursions, and even treks of several days staying in mountain huts, in France and/or Italy. Sainte Foy borders Italy for 25kms, offering many opportunities for border crossings, the two most common being the Col du Rocher Blanc, and the Col du Mont.
Mountaineering is also a popular summer activity. Indulge your passion on some of the highest peaks in the Vanoise, such as the Sassière, the 3rd highest Vanoise peak, or the Mont Pourri, the 2nd highest Vanoise peak.
