I am potentially looking for a Utopia that doesn't exist but I will ask anyway.
I am looking for something for my wife and two children ideally over Xmas but then we would have between 3/6 or 10 additional people looking to join us over new year.
In terms of resort I am open to ideas but something that obviously has a history of snow over Xmas and the new year.
Realise this may mean pay a little over the odds but maybe there is a sensible work around for all parties?
Any feedback appreciated and hope to hear from someone soon

We have 3 great self-catering apartment at Chalet Leslie in Morzine Centre that are still available over that period. You would be able to hire just one apartment for the Christmas week, then maybe another 1 or 2 for the NY week depending on your numbers. Although they are separated apartment (one on each floor), the chalet has an internal carpeted stair so if you've booked all 3 apartments you can just leave your doors open which then gives it the feeling of one big chalet!?
The resort of Morzine/Avoriaz is also one of the consistent for opening regardless of snow conditions. In fact it will always open lifts during this period when others are closed! For example, when resorts such as Chamonix, Megeve, Flaine haven't opened in December due to poor snow, the guests from those resorts sometimes get bussed to Morzine!?
The chalet is in a great location with amazing ‘unrestricted’ views of the mountains and the village centre is just a 2 minute 'level’ walk. The slopes and lifts located at the rear of the property, allowing you to ski back to the door. Val-Thorens is the highest Village in Europe (2350m high, 6550 fts high) in the biggest ski resort (Les trois-vallees).

La Ferme du Chateau which is an elegant and stylish Savoyard farmhouse offering exceptionally spacious accommodation in 6 en-suite rooms. All 6 rooms can be twin or double rooms, all of which have bath and/or shower facilities plus branded toiletries, dressing gowns, hair dryers and access to an outdoor sunken jacuzzi. I can offer you a sensible option 20th December 2016 to 03/01/2017 for £10,750 fully catered in our ski in / out chalet in the stunning family resort of Les Gets.
Basically, the chalet would be sole occupancy for your family for the full two weeks so that if at a later date you decided that you did want people over the Christmas week (or if that is the only time they can come) you will have the flexibility to invite others as and when you wanted - the chalet sleeps up to 11 so the more of you there are the cheaper the two fully catered weeks will be per person.
Christmas in Les Gets is a great atmosphere for all the family. Father Christmas (the real one of course!) will ski down the piste on Christmas Eve, fireworks and vin chaud on the streets.
Christmas lights decorate the whole village, and with the snow on the roof tops of the traditional wood and stone buildings, it gives a wonderful festive atmosphere.
On top of all that, The Portes du Soleil in one of the Largest ski resorts in the world with over 600kms of pisted runs and endless off piste opportunities.
If you have not skied in the Portes du Soleil, I will happily how you round and show you all the best quiet spots so that you will be skiing like a local from day one.

Chalet 'La Credence' is close to the village of Morzine in the French Alps. A charming and lovingly restored farmhouse with log fire dating back to the nineteenth century, it retains the ambience of a family home. This is reflected in the welcome you'll receive when you stay with us. The Chalet sleeps 16-18 in comfort and a free ski-bus stops outside the door.
The main living room is spacious with plenty of space for everyone to sit and relax. Sky TV, DVD and Apple Bluetooth docking station speaker for iPhones are provided, as well as a large selection of board games. Free super-fast WiFi is also provided. There is a Wine Fridge, Dishwasher, & Washing Machine etc in the fitted kitchen.
Although the interior of the chalet is non-smoking, we do provide an outside area for those who require it. Rooms vary in shape and size as reflects the character of the building, but all are decorated and furnished to a high standard. We have a charming, enclosed garden to the front of the chalet where you can sit and relax in the sun and there is a large car park suitable for 4 - 6 vehicles, if you are driving over to the Alps.

We'd love to welcome you to Meribel. We have availability in Apartment Gentiane for Christmas week (23 to 30 Dec)£2,000 self catered. You could then move to one of our catered chalets, depending which suited your group size and budget.
La Fugue is in a unique position in that you can ski out and almost ski in and we are less than 5 mins from the centre of Meribel with its many shops, restaurants and bars.
The chalet is fabulous with 6 twin/double rooms and 4 newly renovated bathrooms, fantastic views across Meribel and the slopes, a large sun terrace and spacious living areas.
The other chalets have 5 bedrooms. Clementine is all en-suite and sleeps 10 and has a sauna and open fire. Gaillard sleeps 9 adults (plus up to 3 small children). Both properties living/dining areas are open plan with fabulous views, Gaillard has a sunny balcony and Clementine a terrace.
We provide gourmet food starting the day with a hearty breakfast. On your return from the slopes there will be a homemade cake or biscuits for you to enjoy and the evening starts with canapés and cocktails followed by a relaxed and delicious 3 course meal with unlimited wine. We also provide an earlier 2 course children’s meal.
