An ideal resort would be smallish with a good range of beginner/intermediate runs and preferably ski school at base level within easy reach of accommodation.

Chalet Namika is an independently run chalet by Ian and myself (June). We aim to provide a relaxing atmosphere where you can chill out after an exciting days skiing. Chalet Namika is a ski in, ski out chalet situated on the sunny slopes of Alpe d’Huez which benefits from glacier skiing. We have a catered chalet in Peisey Vallandry, in the heart of the Paradiski region of Les Arcs and La Plagne. It's available from the 8th or 9th of April for 7 nights at 350 GBP per person (2 rooms available for you).
The chalet features twin ensuite rooms, log fire, DVD/UKTV/Wii/Wifi and most importantly, fantastic cuisine from our highly experienced professional chef. She has been cheffing for 20 years in cafes and restaurants around the world, and in recent years on private yachts, villas and chateaux.

Our chalet-hotel offers half board accommodation in snow sure Plagne 1800, part of the Paradiski area. We are next to the slopes and two chair lifts, with the ski school meeting point just across the street.
Facilities include:

The Desmeuniere is a beautifully restored 18th Century Farmhouse with 8 ensuite bedrooms each with flat screen tv and dvd player. This luxury catered ski chalet boasts a spacious open plan lounge and dining area with log fire and vaulted ceilings, balconies with superb views, a second mezzanine lounge with media facilities, free wi-fi internet access, a heated ski and boot room, a sauna, plus a sunken outdoor hot tub set in the stunning grounds. We provide a minibus service to the slopes each day plus the free ski bus which operates every 10 minutes stops just outside the chalet. This chalet is just minutes from the brand new, high speed lift to Avoriaz via Prodains.
Your catered holiday includes your half board stay (cooked and continental breakfast, afternoon tea and cakes, early tea for the children if required, a pre-dinner drink and canapes, plus 4 course evening meal with unlimited wine for 6 of your 7 night stay). We provide all bed linen, towels, bathrobes for adults, plus Occitane toiletries.
Please note that we are able to assist with arranging any ski school, ski hire, lift pass and airport transfer requirements that you may have all in advance of your arrival date. We are just 1hr 15mins drive from Geneva.
