Looking for: Chalet hosting / maintenance / driving / general dogsbody
Hello,
We are a married couple in our early 30s, looking to spend a season working in the mountains. We had arranged chalet hosting jobs in Chatel, but the chalet owner has now decided to live in the chalet themselves, so we are available again.
We have both been skiing since we were children. Stu is a mechanical engineer, currently working on post-doctoral research, and Lorna manages and runs an office building in Sheffield. Lorna has previously worked a season in Chamonix as an assistant chalet host in a 30 bed chalet-hotel, in addition to having previously worked in several catering / service roles. Stu has also worked in a commercial kitchen when he was younger, and more recently as a dryslope instructor. Neither of us are professional chefs, but we enjoy cooking and are confident cooking to a high standard or assisting a chef.
We would also like to bring our dog, Acer, with us. His passport is ready, he's an 11 year old Labrador, obviously house trained, with no destructive tendencies and is very friendly with people and other dogs.
We both hold full clean driving licences, and as you may guess, as a mechanical engineer Stu is also quite handy when it comes to DIY. Lorna speaks basic French, and Stu speaks good German and pretty basic French.
We've created a website with our CVs and information at www.jobsinthemountains.com, but if you have any questions or would like us to send CVs directly please let know.
Thanks,
Stuart Walker and Lorna Jackson (we have been married for 3 years, just Lorna has feminist ideals about giving up her surname!) | At a glance:- You are looking for a job
