I was hoping to put in the subject box DISABLED ACCESS needed. If you don't have disabled access of some kind, read no more!
If you do, then what I'm looking for is for the 2017 season, not this one. We are looking to bring a decent sized group along - 10-15 approx.
The disabled person is my wife. She doesn't ski & will stay in the chalet during the day. She uses a wheelchair for longer distances and walks around inside with a stick. She will need level access to the building and her room (double or twin to share with me) and to all public areas. A lift would be fine. All corridors etc wide enough for a wheelchair. Stairs and slopes are no good.
She doesn't need a totally disabled-adapted room, though that would be good, but a reasonable sized room with easy access to the bathroom. The bathroom would need a stand-alone shower ie with a shower tray, not over a bath. A shower with a seat would be better and a wet room better still. I realise this is not what ski chalets are normally about!

We have a chalet of private, spacious apartments that would suit your group. In particular, for you and your wife, we have a 3-bedroom apartment on the ground floor for wheelchair access, which also has a walk in shower where we are able to place a plastic seat. We often take large groups of friends and family over a number of apartments and it works very well as everyone is able to have both privacy as well as spend time together in our adjacent bar and dining room.
This apartment has a very spacious living and dining area, with a full kitchen and we also serve evening meals every night of the week in our adjacent bar which is a few metres from the front door of the apartment on the same ground level.

We do have a luxury chalet in Zermatt which has been designed to cater for guests with severe mobility difficulties (the architect was wheelchair bound).
Chalet Binna has 4 ensuite bedrooms to sleep 8/9, one of which is a double with a proper wet room showroom/wc and space in the room for a wheelchair. Access to the front door of the chalet is via a ramp from street level and all floors of the chalet are accessible by a private internal lift. The chalet also has a sauna and external hot tub.
Chalet Binna's younger brother is the closely adjoining Chalet Banja which has 3 ensuite bedrooms to sleep 6/8 and whilst access to the front door is via the same ramp, this chalet also has its own internal private lift giving access to all levels although none of the bedrooms is specifically equipped top accommodate a person in a wheelchair. Chalet Banja does however have it's own private sauna, gym and 10m swimming pool.
The two chalets can be successfully operated together to accommodate a larger group.

We have had a couple of severely disabled guests in the past in very heavy electric wheelchairs and have ramps to enable access over the small lip from the main patio doors.
