Mountain Retreats are now looking for a talented and hard working and professional chef to join them from mid December 2015 to end Mar 2016. Importantly, they are looking for a chef who comes with a partner/friend who is able to fulfill the host role.

Chef applicants should hold a recognized cooking qualification eg City & Guilds 7061/2, NVQ level 3 or equivalent and must demonstrate at least 4 years work experience in professional kitchens, ideally having worked to 3 AA Rosette or 1 Michelin Star standard.
As a couple, you will work alongside a chalet manager, a second host/driver and an additional support team to run Chalet Passon, a 10 bed catered chalet in Argentiere/Chamonix.
The chef will be responsible for providing breakfasts, afternoon tea and dinner on six nights per week. Some weeks you will only work five nights a week. Cleaning kitchen, purchasing supplies, budgeting and generally looking after your guests to the highest standards.
The host position will have held a full driver’s licence for 3+ years and be confident driving large vehicles, preferably with snow driving experience. They should have plenty of hospitality experience and be happy working with demanding individuals.
