SKIING

• St Gervais forms part of the EVASION MONT BLANC ski area, with 430 kms of pistes covering a huge area that includes Megève, Combloux, Les Contamines, and La Giettaz . There are pistes for all levels, from lots of easy greens and blues for beginners, to the challenging 'Chamois' off the Mont Joly, one of the blackest of black pistes in the Alps!
• Our ski area is also excellent for all weather conditions. The wide open spaces of the Mont Joux, Mont Joly and Les Contamines are a delight on a sunny day, whereas the tree lined slopes of the Mont Rosset and Princess give you magical visibility in snow storms and flat light conditions. And best of all, out of very high season you can have the pistes practically to yourselves!
• The village of St Gervais is situated only 8 kms from the end of the A40 Autoroute, meaning that we are normally only a fifty minute drive from the airport, one of the closest resorts in terms of transfer time. This makes us an ideal location for WEEKENDS and SHORT BREAKS as you waste the minimum of time in getting here. With Easyjet now serving Geneva from all around the UK, it is possible to cram nearly four days skiing into a three night stay!

• We are an ideal base for walking holidays, with a myriad of things to do for all ages; from tree adventure parks, white water rafting initiation, tandem paragliding, summer toboggan, to swimming, tennis,…or of course simply relaxing in one of the most majestic regions of Europe.

• La Vieille Ferme is an authentic savoyard farmhouse, originally built in 1860, beautifully restored and modernised to add comfort to its natural charm and warmth.
• Situated overlooking the spa village of St.Gervais, we have stunning views of the Mont Blanc and the Chaine des Fizz.
• The farmhouse sleeps up to 14 guests in various combinations, from double rooms to twin bedrooms and two family rooms.

Marie's cooking is one of the main reasons why so many of our guests return again and again. She brings a special touch to the best of the local specialities, as well as serving dishes with origins from all over the world.The only hint of criticism she has had is that people's waistlines have been known to be larger when they leave here than when they arrived, even after all the exercise!

• Three course evening meal includes wine, (a much too drinkable little number discovered by Jeremy after much dedicated research

• Picnic lunches are available in summer; Jeremy's baguette sandwiches are renowned throughout the world!

Your hosts, Jeremy and Marie own La Vieille Ferme and live here all year round. "We are immensely proud of our home and incredibly enthusiastic about the Mont Blanc region in which we live. We consider ourselves immensely priviledged to spend our lives in this area of oustanding natural beauty, and to be able to take advantage of many of the sporting activities that go with the mountains. Our aim is simple: to impart our love of the mountains with our guests, to try and pass on what we feel, and to share the comfort, good food and relaxed atmosphere of our wonderful home".
