  • The apartment is in the French ski resort of Vallandry, which links in to the Paradiski domaine - the range of ski-ing is huge, with over 400km of pistes and three glaciers.
  • For experts the exhilarating black and red runs down from the glacier at Aiguille Rouge represent a serious challenge. The Peisey-Vallandry ski area also offers great beginner and intermediate ski-ing, without the queues that can build up in nearby Arc 2000 at peak times. Les Arcs is also a snowboarder paradise, with the famous Olympic runs and board park at Arc 2000.
  • Located a two minute walk from all local amenities, convenience is first class. The central Vallandry chair lift, giving access to the main Trans-Arc telecabine, is a 10 second ski from the back door of the apartment. There is also a new 6 man fast chairlift (Grizzli) located 100m from the apartment ski locker. Ski school also meets here in the morning. For the vast majority of the season, it is possible to ski right back to the ski locker room door.
  • Les Arcs has a great snow record (Vallandry is at 1650 metres). The neighbouring resort of La Plagne also benefits from a huge ski area and high altitude. Europe's largest cable car (a double-decker!) now links Vallandry with La Plagne. This has made the area the 3rd largest ski domaine in the world, Paradiski. This cable car is 300 metres from the apartment. It is also possible to ski at the resort of La Rosiere on the Italian border. The Paradiski pass covers one day at La Plagne, Val D'Isere/Tignes & the Three valleys!



Accommodation:

  • Cret de L'ours is situated on south facing slopes directly above the village centre. It is a well appointed apartment, equipped to a very high standard, and can sleep various combinations of adults and children in great comfort on two levels.
  • There are two bathrooms (bath downstairs and shower upstairs), two loos, a kitchen with oven/grill combi, twin electric hobs, dishwasher, fridge, open log fire and full central heating. Upstairs has two bedrooms - four bunks in one and a double master bedroom. There are also two single futons on the landing area, for unexpected visitors. Downstairs has a futon which converts to a double bed which is separated from the entrance lobby by a curtain. There is also a spacious lounge/diner with new futon.
  • A split balcony faces south and west (sunny all day long) with fantastic views of the Savoie/Tarentaise valley and Mont Blanc.
  • The apartment has its own secure underground parking and double ski lockers. Access is by lifts to the 4th floor.
  • For the summer, a barbeque on the balcony is a must.
