"Travelled before Christmas for the opening week of the season. Matt made us feel very welcome even before we arrived, helping with travel plans, lift passes etc. The chalet was warm and inviting, spotlessly clean, with lashings of hot water. Food was first class and lots of it -- even I couldn't manage the cheese course on a couple of nights! Pre dinner cocktails were delicious and inventive. Excellant skiing in the trois vallees. Overall a brilliant holiday -- many thanks to Matt, Gary, and Ross." 01 Jun 11

"Stayed at Chalet Everest for 4 nights, we arrived very late but Mat was there to meet us, show us our rooms and he then took us to a lively bar in Meribel Village which got our weekend away off to a great start! On the 1st morning we were given an early morning call (as requested), to have our skis fitted by Slidecandy the 'to your door' ski hire service all organised by Mat. After a hearty breakfast we were dropped at the slopes - a very hassle free start to a ski holiday. The service provided by Mat and the team was excellent all the way through the weekend and nothing seemed to much trouble even a late night cake eating incident was thankfully laughed off. The food was of a good standard and the portions were such that we never went hungry - we even managed to demolish the cheese board a couple of time. Mat even guided us around the slopes for a day, which isn't for the faint hearted as we covered a lot of mileage at top speed which was great fun. We shall be returning in 2012." 01 Jun 11

"I booked a week at Chalet Everest for four people based on the Tripadvisor reviews so I feel obliged to post a review.
Simply put, Chalet Everest is excellent. Mat runs a fantastic operation, happily supported by Chef Gary and Host Ross. Mat repeatedly went out of his way to make sure we had an unforgettable week. Every mealtime was an eagerly-awaited event, thanks to Gary who shows endless flair and dedication to excellence in the kitchen. The rooms were spotless and the service was superb thanks to Ross. The three lads create a really relaxed, happy atmosphere in the chalet. The location is great, as an extra bonus. The centre of Meribel is just a short walk away. Mat drives guests to the lifts each morning and it is a one stop bus journey home in the afternoon for cake and refreshments. Will definitely be staying with Mat and his gang in the future. If we can get a booking, that is..."
