  • Chalet Kouneli has been recently purchased by its English owners and is to be totally redesigned and refurbished during the summer of 2007. Over two million euros will be spent making this one of the most luxurious chalets available to rent in Meribel.
  • It is in one of the most enviable positions in Meribel.
  • Ski in ski out situated at the bottom of the Georges Mauduit piste, which means it is only seconds from the main lift centre of Meribel and the ski school meeting points. Yet the chalet is only a short walk from the centre of Méribel.
  • Situated on the East side of the valley the chalet has wonderful views towards the Tougnete side of the mountain.

Accommodation:

  • Sleeps 14 people in six large king/twin and one king room en-suite with bathroom with showers over or separate showers. 
  • Additionally on the ground floor there is a bunk room with shower-room which is suitable for up to four small children. It is also possible to have extra beds for young children in several rooms if required.
  • On the main (second) floor the enormous sitting/dining room is the heart of the chalet. There is a central open log fire between the sitting room and dining room.
  • Ample seating in the dining area for 14 guests and the sitting room is double height open to the mezzanine above and faces south with views through the large picture windows which open on to the sun terrace.
  • The chalet also has an outdoor hot tub.
  • On the mezzanine will be a small office area with computer facilities and a broadband wi-fi network, an additional small television area and a quiet area where you can relax away from the main sitting room.
  • On the ground floor is located a ski room with heated boot warmer, glove and clothes dryer/warmer, sauna, cinema/ games room and garage.
The owners of the chalet intend to finish the chalet to a luxurious standard with finishings sourced both locally and from England. Local wood and stone will feature prominently with luxurious furnishings and furniture. Bedrooms will be carpeted throughout and each will be decorated individually. Beds will be king size zip and link Hypnos beds to give you that perfect night's sleep. The sitting room will light and airy with comfortable sofas and floored with extra wide oak floorboards.

Purple Ski always employ professional chefs with many years' experience in quality restaurants and hotels, to ensure that our cuisine is exceptional.
  • Breakfast: fruit juices, coffee, teas, yoghurts, cereals, porridge, eggs, jambon cru, cheeses, fresh bread and freshly baked croissants with jam.
  • Afternoon tea: fresh home made cakes and biscuits.
  • Dinner: 4 courses rounded off with real coffee, a glass of pineau and homemade truffle.
  • Dinner is accompanied by our specially selected wines.
