  • Alp shack is an independant run catered chalet, with an emphasis on amazing food, warm hospitality and excellent service.
  • The chalet has undergone complete refurbishment in 2006 and has been kitted out with all the latest technology for your maximum comfort and enjoyment. All bedrooms feature ensuites and flatscreen tvs with freeview. For group gatherings the spacious and airy lounge is perfect to kick back with a drink from the honesty bar and watch a movie on the 42" widecreen, or challenge another guest to a boardgame, or just dock your iPod and listen to your favourite tracks. We've even put in a hot tub to soothe your aching limbs!
  • Your holiday will be all the more memorable for the wonderful hosts Russell and Dawn, and the service is complete with a daily ski bus to and from the slopes.
  • The Alp shack chalet is located in Montorlin, La Plagne,Paradiski. Our daily ski bus will take you to the main station in Montchavin from where you can discover the entire Paradiski area by either hopping on the Vanoise Express to Les Arcs or continuing up and over the mountain ridge into the heart of La Plagne.  The possibilities for exploring are endless for both boarders and skiers, with 425 km of piste featuring glacier skiing all year round, snow parks, forest and motorway runs, together with fantastic off piste.

Cuisine:

Alp shack is a fully catered chalet with breakfast, afternoon tea and dinner with local wine and beer. Our chef, Dawn, is a firm favourite with his guests! expect wholesome meals with a twist and mouthwatering desserts. 
Just to get those tastebuds watering here’s a sample of what you can expect:
    • Breakfast - Continental with cereal, fresh french bread, jams and egg
    • Afternoon Tea - French bread, jams and mouthwatering lemon drizzle cake
    • Dinner -  Starter: Home made Pumpkin soup with saffron and chives
    • Dinner -  Main: Pan Fried duck brest with green peppercorn sauce serverd with red cabbage in red wine and dauphonise potatoes.
    • Vegetarian option Mushroom and parmesan vol au vent
    • Dinner -  Dessert: Double Chocolate and cardamon mousse
We welcome children and Dawn is very happy to provide an earlier tea on request

  • Warm hospitality, Your chalet hosts Russell and Dawn are here to look after you and share their knowledge and experience of the local area, making your holiday memorable
  • Alpshack chalet is 10 minutes walk from Montchavin, however we run a ski bus to and from the main lift in Montchavin in the morning and late afternoon to save your legs. For the experienced skier it is possible to ski back to the chalet along a path through the trees, weather conditions permitting
  • We are able to pre order your Skis,board, lift passes, ski or board lessons so you can hit the slopes without delay
  • We will transport you to the ski and board hire shop on arrival
  • We will also arrange transport to and from a local restaurant on our chef’s night off
  • Free Wifi internet connection (lap top not supplied)
  • Free shuttle service from Landry and Bourg St Maurice International Train Station
