About Chalet de Bonheur
- Chalet de Bonheur and Apartment Bonheur are open all year, offering accommodation for upto ten guests b+b, half board and up to six guests in the well equipped ground floor self catering apartment which can also be rented as catered.
- You can enjoy fantastic skiing in the winter months, with not only Formigueres resort but another 7 local resorts covered by the same ski pass, the Neiges Catalanes, all levels are catered for at a sensible price!
- Outside of the winter months, mountain biking is the growing sport here with specialised downhill parks only 3kms away. Or you can try trout and salmon fishing, lake sailing, parapenting, hiking, biking, horse riding, canyoning, rafting, climbing, thermal pools or simply relaxing.
- The bustling mountain village of Formigueres, on the capcir plateau, is a perfect base for year round activity holidays, also offering a provisions store, patisseries, several lively local bars, pizzeria, take aways, traditional Catalane restaurants, equipment hire, tourist office, creche, tabac and cash point all located around the village 12th century church.
- The free to use tennis court and childrens play ground are just 50 meters from the Chalet.
Accommodation:
- We offer a self contained ground floor self catering apartment, with a comfortable double bedroom, a second double bedroom available across the hall. The apartment has a corner kitchen, dining room with table and chairs, lounge and shower room.
- The lounge has a comfortable click clack bed which sleeps a further two guests, a television, cd, video and dvd player.
- The shower room has a great multi jet shower, wash basin and toilet, a hairdryer is suplied, along with a heated towel rail.
- The kitchen is equipped for upto six guests with a hob and microwave/ grill, toaster, fridge freezer, kettle, coffee machine, and a dining table.
- We supply all bed linen and a set of towels per guest, an inclusive basic starter pack of tea, sugar, coffee, s+p, and kitchen cloths, even a bottle of wine for a weeks booking.
- An advanced starter pack can be ready for your arrival, enough for a dinner, breakfast and a lunch snack, please enquire when booking.
- Delicious four course evening meals are available in the main chalet if reserved in advance and subject to availability.
- The other two guest rooms are available for bed and breakfast or half board accommodation. There is a double guest room and a guest room suitable for a family with two double beds. Both rooms can be used as a large family suite sleeping upto six guests, as they are next door to each other, with no other guests on this floor.
- All chalet guests have the use of our bike and ski storage area, with access to use the heated boot warmer, with a garden and decking area also available.

Cuisine:
- At Apartment Bonheur, we supply a starter pack for your arrival, tea, coffee, sugar, condiments. Even a complimentary bottle of local wine for those staying for a week! Or perhaps choose an additional starter pack to include enough basic provisions for an evening meal, breakfast and lunch to keep you going until you have been shopping.
- Dinner is available upstairs at the Chalet de Bonheur. We offer a four course evening meal with fine local wine and a soft drink option, or feel free to bring along a drink of your choice. A lighter two course option is available.
- A typical delicious home made evening meal:
- A starter of Homemade Garlic Chicken Liver Pate and freshly baked bread, followed by a main course of Beef Bourguignon served with fresh seasonal vegetables, a dessert of Rich Chocolate Mud Pie, a selection of cheeses, fine local wine and coffee.
- For breakfast taken in the main Chalet we offer fruit juice, tea, coffee, yogurts, fruit, homemade breads and muffins, croissants with a choice of preserves and a choice of cereals, you are welcome to bring any special treats you may find in the village patisseries!
