A cordial and cosy environment; a true harbour of peace only 1.5 km of the ski station of Puyvalador.

We are Sia and Alex, the owners of the 'Gite le Moulin' in Rieutort, Pyrenees Catalanes, near to the ski stations of Font Romeu and Les Angles. When we saw Le Moulin for the first time, it was love at first sight.
Set in the heart of the mountains and surrounding nature, the Gite has a calm, authentic and peaceful family ambience.
In winter there is a large open fireplace, and in summer a beautiful south facing garden filled with flowers.
The village and Le Moulin are ideally placed for the Alpine skiing and the ski touring and in less than 30 min by car you have the choice of 6 ski resorts and more than 200 km of crsoss country ski tracks.
Our own resort of Puyvalador is only 2 minutes away and offers great value family skiing as well as a large Freeride area for the more experienced.
For outdoor enthusiast there are also excursions on snow shoes and ski touring in winter and hiking,mountain biking and climbing in the summer.
For the fly fishermen or those which want to discover this art, Alex is a qualified guide and will be very happy to make you discover one of the most beautiful techniques of fishing in our many lakes and mountain rivers.

Accommodation:

Old Mill circa 1800, recently renovated in a tradtional style.
Library and TV room (French channels only), WIFI connection.
For passionate fisherman we have a dedicated room with fly assembly workshop and English DVD.
In the summer you can benefit from our flowered garden and after a beautiful excursion you will be able to soak your the feet in our small river.
No Smoking accommodation.
Bedrooms: Doubles , twins or family rooms with toilets and showers inside or outside according to the rooms.
Towels and linen provided.

Half board service provided with lovely traditional specialities of mountain or Asian food (upon request) and French breakfast (breads, viennoiseries, cereales, fruit juice, butters, local honey and jams).
Dinner includes 1 appetizer, 1 litre carafe of local red wine for 2 people and 1 coffee or 1 tea.

We are on hand to offer advice on the large number of activities and attractions in the local area and can help you to book your guides or instructors.
We work in partnership with an English instructor specialized in the activities of mountain (mountain biking, ski touring, rafting, canyoning, hiking, paragliding).
Lessons are available in fly fishing with Alex in the rivers or lakes of the mountain from June to the end of September.
Possibility of hiring donkeys for excursions in summer.
