Lake Geneva
From the panoramic gardens of Thonon, the eye is drawn to one of the most beautiful views of the Léman, a true inland sea.

Enjoy the various beaches in and around the town - for example the municipal beach and pool at the end of the Ripaille quayside,a watersports & relaxation paradise with 3 hectares of grounds, 3 heated pools including one Olympic-size 50m pool, diving boards, a giant waterslide, a paddling-pool and a bar-restaurant.
Activities and outdoor cinema during the summer months. There is a small entrance fee but bathing is supervised, both in the pools and in the lake.
Watersports
Sailing, windsurfing, canoeing and kayaking, rowing, lake or river fishing, scuba diving
White water sports
Including white water rafting, white water swimming and canyoning on the Dranse River.
Walks
Every summer, the Tourist Office offers a programme of mostly family walks, often with a theme : nature walks, visiting a local shepherd, the history of a vineyard, traditional ways of life, early morning walks in the Dranse Nature Reserve etc.
Wintersports
Enjoy the Portes du Soleil - apporx 30 mins drive away - one of the largest ski areas in the world. Smaller ski areas available nearby.
Spa Town

World- famous Thonon mineral water - slightly mineralised, rich in calcium carbonate and magnesium, used as a treatment for rheumatic and nutritional problems.
With more than 100 years’ experience, the spa has reinvented itself in the light of modern demand with the addition of a fitness centre.
