La Grange de Mathonex

A lovingly restored gite dating from the 17th century, in a superb location, ideal for winter and summer holidays in the Haute Savoie!

• La Grange de Mathonex was a former hunting lodge dating back to the 17th century. It has been completely restored in 2006, and provides all modern comforts with the charm and atmosphere of a traditional Savoyard chalet.
• It is located in the little hamlet of Mathonex, set on a sunny south facing slope, with fabulous panoramic views of the surrounding mountains.
• The extensive and snow sure ski area of the Grand Massif can be accessed either at the Grand Massif Express cable car, just 2.9 km away from the gite, or at Morillon, just 2.5km away.
• Les Gets, Morzine and the Portes du Soleil are approximately 30 minutes by car.
• The pretty town of Samoens is well worth a visit and less than 3km away.
• The gite is part of a farm and is surrounded by several hectares of pastureland, with a stream nearby. In the summer there are numerous walking trails to explore the countryside.
• There are also superb places to visit, all within a 1-2 hour drive - such as Geneva (with Geneva airport just a little over an hour), Evian, Annecy, Chamonix.
• You will be welcome by the owners Véronique and Frédéric who will be happy to have a drink with you.
