Wonderful stay at Chalet Cannelle over the July 14th weekend. Perfect getaway location nested in the French alps at the border with Switzerland. Lorraine and Andy’s recommendations for hikes and dinner were spot on and helped us make the best of that rainy but wonderful stay. Spotless room and a huge bathroom, spacious living room with stunning view on the mountains, yummy breakfast with homemade yogurt and variations on eggs (scrambled, poached, omelette). I can only wish our stay had lasted longer. Will definitely come back over winter.

A gem in the mountain!
We had an amazing stay at Chalet Cannelle. First we discovered a beautiful region in the Alps with lots of things to do during summer time.
The service from Lorraine & Andy is outstanding.
The combination between the design & the atmosphere of the Chalet makes you feel at home. The bedroom was very comfortable.
The place is quieter than some hotels even though it's an old farm. Perfect breakfast with a large choice of homemade and local foods & products.
I think it could be a perfect place to come back on a retreat, to enjoy peace & quiet while meeting great people.

We will be back and try the winter season.

Our third stay at this beautiful chalet. Lorraine and Andy are simply wonderful hosts - the food is awesome, the matching wines varied and delicious and the chalet feels like a home from home. The minibus service to the slopes makes the day even more relaxed and coming home to freshly baked cake, the fireplace and the hot tub is just the icing on the cake! We are looking forward to returning.

From the moment I first made an enquiry to the last day of the holiday we were looked after with effective communications and treat like the owners really care.
Often when you see pictures the reality is somewhat different - not at Chalet Cannelle - the pictures reflect it as it is - spacious, beautifully maintained, well equipped, spotlessly clean and everything functioning.

My family and I stayed for a long weekend in early July and I have to say I can't wait to go back. Chalet Cannelle is like stepping into a mixed episode of Escape to the Country and Grand Designs. The chalet's gorgeous high ceilings with exposed beams, and the overall style was simply gorgeous. Our two children loved the well equipped kids room which meant my husband and I could take a bit of time out to relax.

We stayed at Chalet Cannelle for a week in summer as a family of 10, including a baby and two young boys. Lorraine and Andy are exceptional hosts and we felt incredibly welcome and well-looked-after. The chalet itself is stunning, with all the comforts you'd expect and more. The food served at Chalet Cannelle is of (excellent) restaurant quality - food is local, plentiful and delicious. Our baby was catered for with as much love and attention as everyone else. Lorraine and Andy gave lots of advice about the local area and made bookings on our behalf - they really couldn't have been better. Our family did lots of great walks in the surrounding mountains and would love to visit again for ski season. That said, this is much more than just a ski chalet and we wouldn't hesitate to go back for another blissful Alpine summer.

My husband and I spent three says at Chalet Cannelle in July for our anniversary. The Chalet was gorgeous. We slept well every night felt very refreshed after our stay. Andy and Lorraine are welcoming and amiable. They gave us lots of good ideas on things to do during our stay including swimming, day trips and walking and running routes. Lorriane booked a table for us at a gorgeous local restuarant for us for our anniversairy and even gave us a lift there and back!! We ate in on our last night and we were very impressed with Andy's food and the quality of the produce

We stayed for six days with our 1,5 yr old and loved the place! Providing luxury that is to be discovered and not boasting is not only an art but also our preference. With spacious, comfortable rooms, exceptional food and service it gave us the relaxing vacation that we were looking for. More than this, the care, generosity and friendly conversations offered by Andy and Lorraine made it feel like this marvelous place was our home. Chalet Cannelle is a must for people looking for a relaxing vacation and knows how to appreciate good quality

We went with another family of five and we all thought this was our best skiing holiday ever. Andy and Lorraine run the chalet with great efficiency and looked after us brilliantly. The chalet was extremely spacious and comfortable and the food was absolutely delicious. Getting to and from the slopes was quick and easy. It was great fun but most of all incredilby relaxing.

“If Carlsberg did ski chalets...” We had such an amazing time here, Lorraine and Andy really are the perfect hosts and make you feel completely at home. We had the comfiest bed I think I've ever slept in and the food - out of this world!
