We loved it!!! - Pirin Chalet, Bansko, Bulgaria

We had a lovely holiday. A very practical and well equipped house for our family (including a 1 and 7 year old). The house came with everything we needed, stair gate, cot, highchair etc. Lots of indoor and outdoor space and in a beautiful, peaceful location. Kitchen was very well equipped and the house had every home comfort you could require. Very modern furnishings in a beautiful Bulgarian house. We skied most days and although its a short drive to the ski area it was never a problem as its not a ski in, ski out resort anyway. Will definitely be visiting again!

excellent ! - Pirin Chalet, Bansko - Dobrinishte, Bulgaria

clean, cosy, confortable. Situated in a nice spot. The kitchen had everything we wanted!
One small suggestion for further improvement: an expresso machine is needed in the kitchen

3. It is clean
4. The commissaries are sufficient to cover basic needs for breakfast
5. A bit inflexible in the arrival-departure scheduling, but it can be handled.

Chalet Soltir - Chalet Soltir, Bansko, Bulgaria

Excellent chalet, with lovely hosts, they couldn't do enough for us, really went out of their way. The accommodation is very good, comfy and warm, had everything we needed. The food is superb and plentiful, and with wine, what a bargain. Highly recommend. We stayed as a group of 8 in January 2010.

Two new pistes for the 2007/8 season, Bansko, Bulgaria - Bansko, Bulgaria

I've just read (on www.banskoski.com) that two new tracks have been developed ready for the 2007/8 season. These are accessed from the intermediate station on the Gondola lift. Both pistes are covered by snow cannons and there's a new 4 seater lift shared between the two tracks.

Resort information - Bansko, Bulgaria

Bansko is an historic town dating back several centuries, set in the foothills of one of the most beautiful Bulgarian mountains - Pirin, a national reserve, included in the 'world natural heritage' list.

Ski holidays in Bansko:
Bansko is less well known by foreign tourists than Borovets and Pamporovo, but has always been popular with Bulgarians. It is Bulgaria's newest ski resort - with a modern lift system that is improving every year. The town itself dates back to the 9th century. Modern convenience and old world charm combine to provide a great ski experience.

It is surrounded by the Pirin, Rila and Rhodopi mountains, Bansko has a short hot summer and long mild winter. Snow falls are abundant providing good winter snow cover.
