| I am looking to take my wife and 8 year old son skiing for a week during the Easter holidays.
I would like accommodation for 3 in a reasonably snow sure area as I'm trying to convince them that winter holidays are the way forward as they have limited experience. My son has had a week in Morzines' Piou Piou club 5 years ago and a couple of dry slope lessons and my wife has 2 weeks under her belt but has a condition that limits her activity levels.
Ideally somewhere at good altitude in a resort that could entertain them if they only fancy a morning on the slopes. Close to the slopes would be great, so I don't have to carry their gear too far.
Having driven to resorts in the past the airports aren't a big consideration as we'll probably drive.
Budget wise I am looking for something cheap and cheerful, up to £500 for the accommodation if that's possible.

Location: Morzine | We have a beautiful two bedroom/two bathroom apartment which sleeps 4/5 people. It is part of Chalet La Savoyarde and has been furnished to a very high standard.
It has a double bedroom with its own ensuite. The triple bedroom on the lower ground floor is accessed by stairs lit with LEDs – it has a standard double bed with a single bunk. All the rooms have duck down duvets/pillows, orthopaedic mattresses, faux fur throws, wardrobe and chest of drawers.
The main living area is open plan – very light and airy with French doors and two windows with amazing views over the Morzine valley. It has a large corner sofa, a 32” TV, DVD player, UK channels, WiFi, iPod docking station and internet access. The cupboard is stocked with board games, DVDs and books
The brand new kitchen is clean and modern with integrated fridge, washing machine, dishwasher and microwave, and the dining area has a large pine table and sits up to 6 people in comfort. Leading off from the kitchen/dining area is the second bathroom
The apartment is private and secluded, has its own parking space and is accessed by its own steps. There is a secure ski locker just outside the door for easy ski storage.
It’s less than a 10 minute walk to the town centre and a 5 minute bus ride to all the main ski lifts in and around Morzine – the ski bus stops just outside the chalet.
The apartment is available from 27 March for 7 nights at a reduced cost of £1,000 – including linen/towels and an end of stay apt clean.

I would like to suggest our lovely little 2 bedroom chalet, which is close to skiing in Les Deux Alpes, one of the more snow sure ski resorts in the Alps, thanks to a huge glacier area which supports skiing even in the summer. Unlike other high altitude snow sure resorts, this area actually levels out and has runs that are suitable even for beginner skiers.
The chalet is located just 300 meters from the gondola link to Les Deux Alpes. In the resort we recommend a ski rental shop, right at the foot of the slopes (in front of a couple of free drag lifts, ideal for people getting their ski legs back). Here you can store your ski equipment over night, so no need to carry equipment around the resort.
The chalet is located in Bourg d'Arud/Venosc. Here there is a great play ground a couple hundred meters away. There are restaurants, a bar and some lovely Artisan craft shops located on the beautiful cobbled streets.
The price for this chalet would be just €595 for these dates, which with the current exchange rate, comes well within your budget.

Our apartment is great for a small family and very close to town, pleney slope and all Morzine's facilities.
End of March is usually a good time for warm weather and fresh snow (although who knows this year...) so a nice time for beginners as fresh snow or slush is good for learning and less likely to have icy conditions.
The price for the week is 500 Euros although normally Saturday-Saturday.
