One of the French Alps’ most easily accessed resorts; Samoëns is part of the snow-sure Grand Massif and located only ONE HOUR from Geneva airport. You can be off the plane and enjoying the slopes in under 2hrs!
You’ll stay just 5 minutes from the Grand Massif gondola, which offers easy express access to more than 265km of pistes. Samoëns is directly linked to Morillon, Les Carroz and of course, giant Flaine.

La Terrasse’ is a small and friendly, owner-run property, ideally situated just one hour by road from Geneva, on the sunny slopes of the strikingly beautiful upper Giffre valley. Directly opposite are Morillon, 5 minutes, Samoens, 10 minutes, which link easily to Flaine, Les Carroz and 265kms of piste which form the Grand Massif range, Frances 4th largest ski area.
The living area benefits from wall to wall windows with stunning panoramic views of the mountain scenery. You will be personally welcomed and hosted by the owners Phil, and Louise, who is a qualified chef and fantastic cook.

Location: Samoëns | We can offer 4 rooms in our newly built catered chalet, with outdoor hot tub, on those dates.
There's 5 ensuite bedrooms, with 4 of them being easy triples/quads. We can move double/single beds around according to group makeup. They’re all proper kings/doubles/single beds not a bunkbed in sight.
We're an hour from Geneva, and just 3 minutes to any of the local lifts in our complentary shuttle. The ski area is the Grand Massif 265km of awesome skiing both in the villages and up in the Flaine bowl. There's local ski schools & ski hire at both Samoens & Morillon and we can help with getting both fixed up for you.
Our food is more Jamie Oliver than fine dining, the style is relaxed, and of course wine is included. And more often than not, there's a tot of single malt in the coffee too. Catered service includes breakfast, afternoon tea/coffee/cake everyday and 3 course dinner 6 out of the 7 nights leaving you one night to explore the local restaurants.
We're just a 5-10 minute walk to the village of Morillon, or 5-10 minutes on the free skibus into the bigger Samoens. Samoens has lovely shopping, cafes/bars, iceskating, botanical garden & spa facilities so good for any non ski days
The cost would be €680 per person per week, or €500 for four nights.

We are situated in the picturesque alpine village of Samoens which is one of the 5 linked resorts that forms the Grand Massif the 4th largest ski área in France and in the top 5 snow sure resorts.
Chalet Giffre has an excellent location close to the village center just 400m to cafes, bars, shops and the Gondola. We have our own private minibuses servicing the chalet. Our drivers drop you off at the gondola in the mornings in under a minute and offer collection in the afternoon from 5 different lift stations in the Valley.
We offer a fully catered service 6 out of 7 days, cooked breakfast, 3 course evening meal with bottled wines cold beers.
All 6 bedrooms benefit from en suite shower rooms and wc.

La vieille Ferme is a beautifully renovated Haute-Savoie Farmhouse in Les Vallons, Samoens, the only “listed” Alpine station de ski in France, which is part of the 256 kms of the Grand Massif ski area, 60 mins from Geneva airport.

I have 4 twin ensuite rooms for you from 1-5 March.
I am a professional chef with an excellent reputation for food, and own and operate my traditional Savoyard chalet in the lovely, unspoiled village of Samoëns (‘The 4th largest ski area and in the top 3 snow sure resort in France’ -Daily Telegraph 2013; - about 1 hour from Geneva airport. Assistance with transfers. Parking in the chalet grounds.
From Samoëns you have access to the Grand Massif (265 km pistes - Flaine, Le Carroz, Morillon and Sixt Fer à Cheval). The Chariande Express, a 6 seater chair lift, between Samoëns 1600 and Tete de Saix has speeded up access to Flaine. Good snow record with a variety of pistes up to 2,500m.
* ski lifts are each about 800 metres from the chalet
* skibus stops 50m from the door.
* 20% discount on ski hire (store gear in lockers at the top of the lifts overnight)

We have availability for the dates you want.
We are about an hours drive from Geneva airport and there are a couple of good local transfer companies we can recommend (around 165 euros each way private transfer or 30pp each way in shared transport - 8 maximum)
The chalet is owner run and located between 2 ski lifts. Morillon village and Les Esserts 1100. If snow conditions are good it is possible to ski back to the chalet on a blue piste, otherwise we take and collect you to the ski lifts.
All bedrooms are spacious with en-suite facilities and there is a large dining room and lounge for you to enjoy after a hard day on the slopes.
The Grand Massif ski area has 265kms of piste, 69 lifts, 20 green runs,65 blue runs, 50 red runs and 14 black runs with the highest altitude 2,500 metres. So as you can see something for all abilities.
The costs for your group is £75 pp/pn
This includes breakfasts & afternoon tea & cakes and a 3 course meal with wine, beer and soft drinks.
