| I'm trying to organise a week's trip for myself and a group of friends. We're a mix of skiers and snowboarders, and all reasonably experienced (at least 3-4 years' skiing). The weeks we're looking at are 18/19-25/26 February, or 25/26-4/5 March.
The numbers are still a little uncertain, but there's likely to be 10-12 of us. Ideally, we'd like to stay somewhere reasonably close to town with a hot tub, but we're not fussed about ski-in/ski-out. We've usually stayed in catered chalets up to now, but we'd be willing to go self-catered to cut costs.
In terms of location, we're interested in going to a few places we haven't been before - Val Thorens, Val D'Isere, Meribel, maybe Alpe d'Huez. I realise these are all in France, but for the group size I think most other countries don't have big enough chalets for us all to stay in the same place. Also, given the time of year we're going, we'd prefer higher resorts to ensure a decent amount of snow.
Our budget is around £800-1000 per person, hopefully including flights and transfer.....?
I realise we're quite late in the season to be organising this, so I'd very much appreciate any help/advice you can give!

We could offer you sole occupancy of Chalet Genevieve (sleeps 11) in Val d'Isère from Sunday, 19th or 26th February.
You can ski to the door of the chalet, which is owner-run and situated in the exclusive La Legettaz area at the foot of the Solaise slopes. In the mornings you just need to walk 100 yards down the road before putting on your skis. All five rooms have their own facilities. There is an outdoor hot tub, large sun terrace, log fire, mini bar, boot heater, foot massager, free WIFI, iPod and base station, indoor and outdoor parking, to say nothing of the beautiful views up the Manchet valley and over the village.
The Espace Killy has over 300km of piste to suit all abilities and the off-piste possibilities are endless. The village is at 1850m and with two glaciers, you will be assured of good snow. The après-ski entertainment is also varied and plentiful.
Included in the price are breakfast (freshly-squeezed orange juice, cereals, yoghurts, fresh fruit, bread, croissants, porridge and a hot option, eg. poached egg and ham on a toasted muffin), afternoon tea and on 6 evenings we serve a pre-dinner drink with canapés followed by a 4-course evening meal with select wines. Tea, coffee and fresh fruit are available at all times.
It is a 10 minute walk across the piste into the village center or you can make use of the free minibus service that drops you right outside the chalet.
The price per person for the week is £1,075 (19th Feb) or £1,059 (26th Feb). The 10th or 11th place would be free of charge. This does not include flights or transfers.

We can offer you Chez Natole which is near Morzine and the magnificent Portes du Soliel ski region which offers 650 Km skiing in France and Switzerland. Chez Natole sleeps 12/13 in 5 bedooms and 3 bathrooms and is pretty unbeatable value for money at £1100 for the house for the week including cleaning cost. Wood burning stove, new kitchen and bathrooms, under floor heating, cosy and well equipt. Sorry though we don't have a hot tub- not sure if that's a deal breaker!
It is 15 minutes' easy drive from the main ski slopes but we can arrange transfers to pistes for maximum flexibility- which is fabulous for ski touring and a drink at the end of the day. Chez Natole is a beautiful converted farmhouse in the village of Seytroux which has a bar shop and restaurant within 5 minutes' walk.
Chez Natole is not your average commercial let but our own family house which we let from time to time and is a lovley cost effective base for a holiday,

Delfina is part of our “Bruyeres” complex and sleeps up to 14 people in seven bedrooms – there are five twin rooms (two of which have balconies and one of which has a low ceiling) and a family suite consisting of a double room and a separate twin cabine room. The Alpine Refuge is located just 8 minutes walk from the SuperMorzine lift and the centre of resort. This chocolate box chalet has 5 bedrooms, an extra bunkbed room (no window), an open plan lounge and dining area with log fire and spectacular views, a second mezzanine lounge with media facilities, free wi-fi internet access, boot warmers, plus a hot tub and a sauna. Even though the chalet is within easy walking distance of the lifts we still offer a minibus service to and from the slopes each day plus the free ski bus stops just at the end of the private drive.
The Desmeuniere is a beautifully restored 18th Century Farmhouse with 8 ensuite bedrooms each with flat screen tv and dvd player. This luxury catered ski chalet boasts a spacious open plan lounge and dining area with log fire and vaulted ceilings, balconies with superb views, a second mezzanine lounge with media facilities, free wi-fi internet access, a heated ski and boot room, a sauna, plus a sunken outdoor hot tub set in the stunning grounds. We provide a minibus service to and from the slopes each day plus the free ski bus which operates every 10 minutes stops just outside the chalet.

Location: Les Deux Alpes | Hi Phil,
We have both those weeks available still (Saturday changeover) and our catered rate for both weeks is 700 Euros (£600) per person based on ten people in our 5 ensuite bedrooms. If your group comes to 12, we would need to make two rooms into triples, or our larger family room a quad. If this is the case, we would give a triple room discount of 420 Euros (i.e. so the total price for the week would be 7980 Euros for the 12 of you).
If you are looking for a high resort, then Les 2 Alpes is one of the highest resorts, with glacial skiing up to 3600m. It is a good resort for intermediates, but there is also lots of great "between the pistes" skiing for the more advanced members of your group. Les 2 Alpes is right beside Alpe d'Huez (35 minute drive), and it is possible to ski over there on the same weekly ski pass.
We are located in one of the original villages of the resort - the village, Venosc, has a 6 person gondola which links to the main resort area and the lower pistes. This gondola is within walking distance of the chalet, but we nevertheless provide a shuttle service to and from it each day (2 minute drive). The gondola is open until 7pm each day so plenty of time for some apres up the mountain before heading back to the chalet for dinner. There is a pub and a couple of restaurants in our village, which are only two minutes walk away.
The chalet itself is well appointed with the requisite outdoor hot tub, sauna, heated boot warmers, gym, cinema room and a spacious lounge are with woodburning stove.

It’s a hidden gem of a snow-sure ski area, with very long and wide pistes, skiing in February is brilliant here!
We have 4 local resorts that are covered in one ski pass, including Obertauren, offering 270km of great skiing for all levels.
3 of the resorts are just 5 minutes from the chalet and the ski bus stops at our front door.
2 of the resorts are linked and include the wonderful A1, one of Austria’s longest runs at 6km.
The pistes are uncrowded and the mountain restaurants are very reasonably priced.

I would like to offer Chalet Jardin De Rosalie, An ultimate chalet for 14 persons. With 7 bedrooms this extensive Chalet is centrally located with fabulous balconies and views. There is a hot tub and sauna and a designated adult relaxation area. A children only snug and family lounge with large leather sofas, Sky TV and a fabulous log burner.

I would love to welcome you to Chalet Kulina, Bulgaria, Bansko for your upcoming winter holiday.
We are an owner run chalet. Bansko was recently voted the best value ski resort in Europe and with flights costing as little as £80 return to Sofia. In resort prices are much lower than other European resorts, with a 2 course meal including wine costing less than £15. A beer or hot chocolate on the slopes is less than £2.50.
We have availability for both of your dates. Our chalet is for 8 people but we have semidetached another chalet so altogether we can accomodate 14 people.The price is 125 euro per night if you are 8 people and if you take both chalets, the price will be 215 euro.
Our chalet is situated only 5 minutes away from the center and 400 meters away from the slopes. We offer shuttle bus service for all our guests.

Chalet La Fugue is in a unique position in that you can ski out and almost ski in and we are less than 5 mins walk from the centre of Meribel with its many shops, restaurants and bars.

Chalet Ferme de La Combe offers 5 en-suite bedrooms - 1 double and 4 twins. Bedlinen and towels are supplied and beds are made up for your arrival. This is our home when in France so rather than just being furnished for rental, it is fully equipped with everything you will need for your stay.
Just two hours drive from Geneva, the house is situated in a traditional Savoyard hamlet called La Combe, a short and easy 5-6 minute drive from St Martin de Belleville. There is private parking at the house and the car park at St Martin is just opposite the bubble lift.
St Martin provides access to the whole 3 Valleys area, including Val Thorens, the highest resort in Europe and very snow sure with skiing/boarding up to 3230M.
For relaxing after a hard day on the mountain we have a large, comfortable sitting area, arranged round a wood burner/TV/DVD, large dining area and a fully-equipped modern kitchen - all on one floor so a great social space for a large group. Full height south-facing glass doors and a balcony run along the length of this floor.
The price for the week 25th Feb to 5th March is €2,500, flights are currently between £50 and £100 return and car hire e.g. 2 X VW Touran would be about £1,000 for the week. Total about £430 pp self catered.
To add breakfast and evening meals delivered by our catering partner Chalet Kitchen would be €1,395 for 10 for the week so under £560 pp all in.

The chalet is made up of two separate apartments, each one affords a fully equipped kitchen, 2 bathrooms, three bedrooms and a twin bedded mezzanine area, there are no bed settees!
