Looking for Christmas holiday, most likely within travelling distance of Geneva, but happy to explore flying to other airports.
Careted would be nice, but will consider self catered as well.
Prefer somewhere reasonably large, as enjoy blasting round as many pistes as possible, not miles away from the slopes. Don't mind a bit of a walk, but don't want to have to get a bus to the slopes.

Chalet Namika is an independently run chalet by Ian and myself (June). We aim to provide a relaxing atmosphere where you can chill out after an exciting days skiing. Chalet Namika is a ski in, ski out chalet situated on the sunny slopes of Alpe d’Huez which benefits from glacier skiing. We put on a great Christmas, with your turkey roasting on a spit over an open fire, cooked by your professional chef Dan, who most recently worked as Rick Stein's sous chef in Poole. We have our catered Alpine Refuge and self catered Slalom 13 in Morzine available.
The Alpine Refuge is located just 8 minutes walk from the SuperMorzine lift and the centre of resort. This chocolate box chalet has 5 bedrooms each with ensuite shower/bath and washbasin, 4 separate wcs, an extra bunkbed room (no window), an open plan lounge and dining area with log fire and spectacular views, a second mezzanine lounge with media facilities, free wi-fi internet access, boot warmers, plus a hot tub and a sauna. Even though the chalet is within easy walking distance of the lifts we still offer a minibus service to and from the slopes each day plus the free ski bus stops just at the end of the private drive.
The Slalom 13 is located right in the centre of Morzine just 50 meters walk from the SuperMorzine lift and 100 meters walk from the Pleney slopes. Built in 2008, the apartment has 2 bedrooms (1 double or twin and 1 bunkbed room), 2 bathrooms (1 wc), a lounge and dining area with flat screen tv and dvd player, a fully equipped kitchen, a terrace overlooking the slopes, plus ski locker and underground parking. This apartment also has free wi-fi internet.

Thank you for posting your request in the solutions room. Have you been to or considered the Grand Massif? It is an hours drive from Geneva airport.
The ski area is truly a hidden gem with 265kms of piste, 69 lifts, 20 green runs,65 blue runs, 50 red runs and 14 black runs with the highest altitude 2,500 metres. Something for all abilities.
There is a blue run 150 metres from our chalet which guests can use if snow conditions are good, otherwise we take and collect you directly from the lifts.
We have availability for dates you want.
The chalet is owner run and located between 2 ski lifts. Morillon village and Les Esserts.
All our bedrooms are spacious with en-suite facilities and there is a large dining room and separate lounge for you to relax in after a hard day on the slopes.
The costs are £500.

Thank-you for your enquiry, we’d love to welcome you to Meribel Mottaret.
Chalet Gaillard has 5 bedrooms and sleeps 9 adults. The living/dining area is open plan with great views up to Mont Vallon. After a hard day on the mountain you can sit, relax and enjoy a glass of wine whilst you wait for a delicious dinner to be served.
It is situated close to the centre of Meribel Mottaret, with plenty of restaurants and bars. It’s a very short walk to the slopes and the nearest lift is about 300m away.
The Three Valleys has excellent ski-ing for all abilities. The Meribel Valley has great, well thought out beginner areas, plenty of blues and reds, and more challenging blacks and accessible off piste for the more experienced. There’s fast access to both Courchevel with its vast open pistes and interesting couloirs, and Val Thorens, known for its high snow sure slopes.
The price per person for 20 to 27 December is £850.
We provide gourmet food starting the day with a hearty breakfast. On your return from the slopes there will be a homemade cake or biscuits for you to enjoy and the evening starts with canapés and cocktails followed by a relaxed and delicious 3 course meal with unlimited wine.
We can help you organise your ski lessons, lift passes, equipment hire and transfers if you wish as we have good links with the local providers.
