| Dear All: We are planning our first family ski holiday (beginners) and would appreciate some advice about the accommodation options available and how they all work.
We are 4 adults, one 17 yr old, one 15 yr old and one 8 year old. What are interested in the benefits of sole occupancy vs shared and self-catered vs catered etc. Our 5 'kids' are picky eaters and we do like to eat out but not necessarily every night.
Having done my research it seems that Morzine meets all our criteria (short transfer, easy access to slopes, highly recommended ski schools, mixed ability runs, good variety of restaurants, good apres ski to suit the elder boys and plenty of 'non-skiing' activities too)
I think our main priority would be easy access to slopes. Baring all this in mind what would you recommend accommodation-wise? Any advice greatly appreciated - including ski hire & passes for the area etc.
We can travel sat to sat or sun to sun.

We still have availability at Chalet Abbaye, St Jean d’Aulps, a 10 minute drive from Morzine, for the week commencing Sunday February 11th 2018.
The chalet sleeps 8 in 5 bedrooms and has 3 bathrooms. There is a large open plan kitchen, dining and living room which opens onto a terrace with hot tub and views of the mountains. There is parking for 3 cars, free wifi and English television. We provide a welcome pack for your arrival.
Chalet Abbaye is an 80 minute drive from Geneva airport and we can recommend the local ski station of La Grande Terche. Alternatively we are just are a 12 minute drive from Ardent which links up to the whole of the Portes du Soleil. It is a short walk to the local bars and restaurants.
We can offer you the same price as this year of 3400 Euros, self catered. This price includes linen, towels and exclusive use of the chalet and hot tub.
Optional boulangerie breakfast deliveries and ski hire fitted at the chalet are available at extra cost.

Many thanks for your enquiry. We have the prefect chalet for you. We have a newly built chalet in Châtel, Portes du Soleil, we own and run the chalet along with a professional chef. The chalet has lovely comfortable 4 en-suite bedrooms, sleeping up to 8 guests.
We know you have requested Morzine, but Chatel is the same ski area and great for families.
