I have updated this request if you have replied already (and thank you for the replies).
We are looking for a catered apartment / chalet to stay in for a ski holiday. We would like 1 large double bedroom and 2 single bedrooms for our children or we could have 1 double and 1 twin. We would like to be in or near a ski area with advanced skiing.
We can drive to the ski lift as long as it is not more than 20 minutes drive each way.
We would like somewhere non-smoking and quiet. Preferably, it would be in a town so we can walk out and around the town.
We are planning on driving from the UK, so somewhere 10-12 hours drive from Calais is ok. Or we could fly.

Situated in the picturesque alpine village of Samoens with Flaine forms part of the Grand Massif Just 1 hour from Geneva.
Chalet Giffre has a great location in the town. The original farmhouse in the village with a private courtyard and the village on your door step. Just 400m to the church square and Gondola.
Our family run chalet has 6 bedrooms all have en suite shower room and wc. Each room has a double bed and single bed. Bunkbeds can be added to make family rooms sleeping up to 4. The chalet is built over 4 floors, with a log burning stove dividing the dinning area and the lounge area. The resort itself is very friendly, with a picture post card charm, but also has a lively centre containing several good bars, arranged around a village square. The ‘Bar Le Timbale’ has live music and dj’s at the weekends. The village is part of the huge Paradiski area (consisting of La Plagne and les Arcs, offering some 425km of pistes) and the Champagny ski area is directly linked into La Plagne – you can be in La Plagne Centre in just 30 minutes. The village has an excellent local ski school and the ski hire shop we use also has a free overnight equipment store with boot warmers, meaning you can walk back to the chalet in your normal shoes instead of clomping there in big plastic ski boots!

We'd love to welcome you to Meribel.
We could offer an beautiful 2 bedroom apartment (Gentiane) for the first couple of days and then move you to one of 2 chalets available, Chalet La Fugue which sleeps 12 and Gaillard which sleeps 9 people.
La Fugue is in a unique position in that you can ski out and almost ski in and we are less than 5 mins from the centre of Meribel with its many shops, restaurants and bars. The chalet is fabulous with 6 twin/double rooms and 4 newly renovated bathrooms, fantastic views across Meribel and the slopes, a large sun terrace, spacious living areas, and accredited for its interior decoration.
Gaillard is situated right in the centre of Meribel Mottaret opposite Clementine. It’s just a short walk to the slopes, shops, bars and restaurants. The chalet has 5 bedrooms and sleeps 9 adults (plus up to 3 kids). The living/dining area is open plan with great views up to Mont Vallon. After a hard day on the mountain you can relax and enjoy a glass of wine whilst you wait for a delicious dinner to be served.
We provide gourmet food starting the day with a hearty breakfast. On your return from the slopes there will be a homemade cake or biscuits for you to enjoy and the evening starts with canapés and cocktails followed by a relaxed and delicious 3 course meal with unlimited wine. We also provide an earlier 2 course children’s meal.
