We would love to welcome you in La Balme, a small authentic mountain hamlet. We are an independent owner run chalet dedicated to offering you a unique culinary ski holiday you won't forget.
Our chalet sleeps up to 14 people in 4 bedrooms and a mezzanine. There are 4 bathrooms, a large living area with comfortable couches and a wood stove, an open kitchen and a large entrance hall for storing ski gear.
The chalet is located at a 10min drive from Auris, within the big ski resort of Alpe d'Huez. With 250km of ski slopes, every skier from beginner to experienced skiers, will find his fun. You can even go to Les Deux Alpes, a second big ski resort at 25min drive, with the same ski pass.

We can give you a great holiday to remember, our lovely chalet has a hot tub, sauna, wifi, log fire and is just an hour from Geneva airport in the French Alps.
We can accommodate up to 10 adult guests and the rate for the whole chalet with our catered service is £5999 for the week, if you are just 9 in your party we would reduce this rate by £500. We are about 15 minutes from Chatel and provide a private chauffeur driven minibus to get your group to their choice of lifts and back each day, allowing for access to the whole Portes de Soleil ski area - without the need for walking!
Our chalet is massive, with en-suite bedrooms and American-sized suite rooms that have both a bath, separate shower room and TV lounge attached to each of them.
We are also fully catered, offering:
- Champagne reception on arrival
- 4 course meal on 6 nights with complimentary wines
- Daily cooked and continental breakfast
- Daily afternoon tea
We can arrange for delivery of discounted ski kit hire directly to the chalet for fitting, as well as lift passes.
Our nearest bar is a 5 minutes’ walk away, with plenty of other local distractions such as a new spa in Chatel, dog sleigh rides, ice skating and so much more.
Chatel is a great resort for all ages and abilities, with some very good snow parks for boarders. The local ski school is excellent and well located for handy drop offs and pickups – we’d be happy to make recommendations!

Balcony facing the south with breathtaking view on the valley and summits
The chalet is an ancient traditional farm built in 1777 with stones and wood that has been renovated in 2008 with natural materials. It is labelled between "High comfort" and "Luxury" by the tourist office in Saint Martin.
Linked to Les Menuires and Val Thorens (the highest ski resort in Europe) both located in the "vallee des Belleville", Saint Martin is also "a slope away" from Meribel so as from the whole domain of the 3 valleys....
The chalet is catered by our local partner that will organize breakfast & diner for 150€pp for the week.

Near Geneva Airport, preferably Three Valleys or France but open to suggestions - catered for 9 people, from 3/2/2018 to 10/2/2018
