I posted a request a few weeks ago. Since then the number in our group has changed and we have booked our flights to Geneva. We are looking for somewhere to stay for 3 nights arriving Sunday 5th August. 2 couples and 2 singles. We prefer not too long drive from Geneva airport, can you include the length of journey from the airport in your reply. We will be going walking and would prefer somewhere with easy access to good walks. Somewhere with character and walking distance to shops / bars would be ideal.

Chalet Namika in Alpe d'Huez is an independently run chalet by Ian and myself (June).
Chalet Namika sleeps 16 people in either twin or triple rooms ( all en-suite )
There is a large lounge/dining area with a log fireplace and TV,
A soundproof Cine’ room with a large screen for watching DVD’s.
We have a hot tub on the terrace and a steam room on the ground floor.
Alpe d’Huez is the perfect setting for a great walking holiday as there are many walks including lakes and historical relics. The chalet is a ten minute walk from the village which has a variety of cafe's restaurants and boutiques plus an outdoor swimming pool, ice rink and sports center.
We run the chalet on a B&B basis (continental breakfast) at a cost of £35 per person/ per night
The chalet is in Alpe d'Huez which is a 2 hour 30 mins drive from Geneva.

It's around a 45 min drive from here to the beaches on the shores of Lake Geneva, however Les Gets has it's own swimming lake in the summer, complete with a adventure ropes park and pony trekking! The lake is a 15 min walk from the chalet or a 2 min drive by car.

We are in St Gervais which is an hours easy drive from Geneva and a beautiful French town with great facilities, restaurants, bars shops, swimming pool, tennis courts and easy access to some amazing mountain walking routes ( even the TBM routes) via the lift system and also the Mont Blanc tramway.

I can offer you 3 rooms at La Ferme du Chateau for your dates. We are in the centre of the beautiful farming village of La Chapelle d'Abondance in the Portes du Soleil region, 1hr 20 mins from Geneva.
La Ferme has 6 ensuite bedrooms, large open plan living and dining area, 2 south facing balconies and large flat garden. We are in the centre of the village so within walking distance of some stunning restaurants and the local bars and shops.
La CHapelle is the centre of the walking in this region as is on the GR5 route. There is plenty in way of high and low level trecks, either starting from the village or driving to a parking area and then walking from there. Very happy to discuss the types of walks available if you wanted.
La Ferme is sold on either a B&B basis or half board basis. B&B is 110 euros per room per night and the evening meal is 28 euros per person for starter, main, dessert, wine and coffee.

Our chalet in St Jean d'Aulps is available for 3 nights from August 5th. It is an hour and 20 minutes from Geneva airport.
There is stunning walking from the doorstep, away from the ski lifts and untouched. Try the Pic de la Corne or the Roc de Tavaneuse from the chalet. Or a short drive away to the Dents Blanches or the Dents du Midi hiking networks. I would be very happy to talk through routes with you.
Chalet Abbaye is an old converted barn in the shadow of the 12th century Abbey. There are 3 double bedrooms and 2 small singles, 3 bathrooms. The open living/kitchen area opens out onto a paved terrace with hot tub and bbq and large lawned garden. There is parking for 3 cars. Take a look at the video on our website www.chaletabbaye.com.
It is a short walk to the bars and restaurants in St Jean d'Aulps or a 10 minute drive to Morzine.
The price for 3 nights is 900 euros, self catering. This includes all towels and linen, wifi and a welcome pack.

Location: Morzine | Hi Alison,
Our Chalet is a new build completed last year to a high standard and available for your dates and the cost is £1,200 with a security deposit of £500 refunded 48 hours after your departure and chalet checked.
We are 10 minutes flat walk into the centre of Morzine and lift stations taking you up to 2 different mountain ranges (Morzine/Les Gets and Avoriaz. Morzine is a very busy village and has great Bars, Restaurants and Shops.
The chalet is situated just out of the centre giving you the option of an atmospheric village and peace at the chalet. Adjacent to the chalet is a stream either side, leading down to the River, which is a fab walk up to the centre, where you’ll come to the Sports Centre and 3 outdoor pools, one being a 50m length.
Mountain biking is very popular in the Summer and a lot of rental shops.
Transfer from Geneva Airport is 1.5 hours and Skiidygonzales is one we use with a discount for guests.
There are 2 decked patio areas either side of the chalet and a BBQ with outdoor furniture.
