I have used you guys before and here I am again looking for a catered chalet for a group of 8 (2 families with grown up children). Because it’s over Xmas we would like a high resort so there’s a greater probability for snow. We are beginner to average skiers so would prefer a resort with greens and blue runs and we would like to be close to the slopes rather than have to catch a bus. Our preference is nice home cooking and local wine rather than cordon bleu and champagne.
We have only previously skied in France so I’m not familiar with other resorts however I understand Austria has some great high resorts so would like to consider here as a potential alternative subject to affordability.
If possible we would prefer a chalet to ourselves with a sauna and hot tub. It would be nice to be in or near a town.

Just 60 minutes from Geneva airport, Les Carroz is a family friendly traditional resort with a sprawling 14km blue piste and 4km green piste to name but a few of the beginner friendly tracks in the resort. The jewel in our crown is the high snow sure pistes of the Flaine side of the resort.
The chalet is situated 300m from the telecabine and there is even a short cut of the blue home run which takes you back to within 40m of the chalet front door!

Les Houches is located at the base of the Chamonix Valley which offers a range of varied skiing. The slopes in Les Houches, Brévent-Flégère and Le Tour have plenty of blue runs suited to all ability levels.
