| Hey there!
We’re looking to do a long weekend (open to days and dates, and expecting to include two midweek days and sat+sun) as two families, each with two young kids (7 and 4). Were expecting to fly into Geneva, and would ideally have transfers arranged from there - but we can do our own if needed. Ideally this would be within two hours of the airport too, given it’s only a long weekend.
This will be a first family winter trip for us, so we’re looking to make it as simple as possible for the kids to enjoy a bit of snow time. So we’re keen to be walking distance to slopes/ski school/snow crèches etc - this is more important than us being in a mega-resort with tons of runs.
Catered is a big preference, but if there is a decent self catered option we may be persuaded.
Given this is our first family trip, I don’t really know how to provide a budget suggestion. We’re probably gonna be at the cheaper rather than luxury end of the scale though ?

We would love to host you at Chalet La Motte which is an exceptionally spacious (490m2) owner run catered farmhouse chalet. We are located right in the middle of the Grand Massif, which links Les Carroz, Flaine, Morillon and Samoens (The 4th largest ski area in the Alps rising to 2400m), and just 50 mins from Geneva airport.
We have the weekends of 4/3 and 11/3 available with days either side. We can offer you exclusive use of the whole chalet on a 4 day break catered for just €5200 (approx £4480 at current rates).
The recently refurbished chalet offers luxury and space with a home from home feel and can accommodate up to 10 guests in five spacious suites. Suites are arranged around a large central family lounge with UK satellite TV. Downstairs is a separate comfortable lounge with an open fire and satellite TV/Netflix, a very spacious dinning room, plus a gym / kids room with Apple TV+ and Apple Arcade.
Outside is a 6 person jacuzzi. The chalet also has a large ski/boot room with boot driers and secure storage for any outdoor equipment, plus a Sauna.
The ski areas are 10 to 15 mins drive away, and we provide a free minibus service to drop off and pick up daily. We can guide on all kids activities, can arrange discounted ski hire, and can help with transfer bookings too.

Samoens is a great traditional village and the lively centre with its shops bars and restaurants is around 5 minutes walk from the chalet. The lift from the village takes you to 1600m were the skiing begins and ski schools meet with links to Morillon, Les Carroz and Flaine.

Chalet Bouquetins sleeps 11 in 5 bedrooms all with either private or ensuite facilities. It has a comfortable open plan lounge and dining area with log fireplace, underfloor heating and great views. There is a separate tv lounge on the top floor (ideal for the children) wifi internet and it is conveniently located approx 100m from the piste and village centre.
