We've recently got back from our family ski trip in St Anton, Austria.
Anyway, we’re planning a family ski holiday from Sat 17 Feb 24 for 7 days until Sat 24 Feb 24.
Our party is made up of 5 adults and 6 children (ages 7 to 14), and would like to stay together in a catered chalet. We’re looking for a family friendly resort, and the following guidance may be helpful in terms of what we hope for:
- Transfer time ideally less than 2 hrs to resort
- Easy access between chalet and slopes
- Suitability of slopes for intermediate level
- Catered chalet, or a chef service for dinner only would work with a self-catered chalet
- Sauna preferable, but alternatively a swimming pool and other facilities close by would work, e.g. St Anton was great in this respect with a sports complex available for use

Les Arcs is the perfect resort for all levels of skier and to ski/ board in a mixed group. This area has wide open Blues and Reds and blacks with the expectation of sun and powder.
The village is a true authentic French village and everything is easy access(certainly no mini-bus shuttles required! 1.5hours from Chambery, just over 2 from Grenoble airport and 2.5 hours from Geneva and Lyon.

We have availability at Chalet Cannelle in Chatel, the centre of the Portes du Soleil with 600km of pistes and 90 minutes from Geneva airport. It has a great variety of slopes for intermediates.
The chalet is a 200 year old cowshed lovingly renovated to keep the quirks and charm but with all the modern luxuries you want after a day in the alpine air. Spacious open plan lounge, with open fire and views of the Abondance valley and plenty of seating for everyone. The chalet is on the edge of the village in a quiet hamlet, with a hot tub right under the mountains. There is also a super cosy TV snug room for the kids.
Our focus is exceptional service, food and wine and my husband and I are your chefs and hosts for your stay. All drinks are included (no honesty bar!) and everything is cooked in house by us, with much of the produce from the local providers, farmers and butchers and some from our garden, such as free range eggs from our hens.
