| I am looking for somewhere for a week for me and my beginner 5 year old for his first proper ski holiday.
He finishes school on the second so we can come out any time after that for a week.
So, wish list:
We will be flying from Gatwick/Heathrow (subject to flight availability)
Would prefer not too long a transfer
We’d like a twin or double room.
Half board.
I’d like to send him to ski school every morning, and would prefer there to be other English speaking children there. Also it be very easy to get there.
A good resort for beginners, with non skiing things to do too, ideally an easy walk away, so sledging, maybe swimming
Ideally there’d be other people for me (intermediate) to ski with
Any sort of kids entertainment available nearby so in case it goes wrong and he hates skiing it isnt a disaster
We are very friendly and sociable, and Any children to play with would be a bonus
I’d love to hear any suggestions.

I think we have what you are looking for here at chalet Gove and would love to have you and your son stay with us.
We have a returning English family staying with us with a 5 year old boy the week of Saturday 13th to Sunday 21st April but we are happy to take you until Saturday 20th April. The boy will be having lessons so your son would have another English child to speak and play with and the parents ski so along with our selves you will have someone to ski with :-)
We are in a lovely area of Austria with lots more to do than just ski, definitely sledging and we have a wonderful swimming pool just 10 minutes down the road.
We are in a very snow sure area with our ski areas open until early May. We have a very good ski school and over the last 8 years all our chlidren have been up and skiing from the main chair at Fanningberg within a couple of days. The runs are long and wide and quiet, so very safe for children to learn.
I can offer you a lovely spacious room with double bed and single bed for £1064, this price includes your transport from and to Salzburg airport (1.5 hours away) and whilst you are here, along with breakfast and cake each day and three course evening meal with wine. I will ensure the menu for the week is children friendly. We are also here to organise everything for you.
Inside Chalet Gove we have lots fun things to do and we will of course do an easter egg hunt!

We are a English family -run Chalet in Jasna, Slovakia. Jasna is the largest ski resort in Central Europe boasting many chair lifts and 4 high speed gondolas.
We charge £199pp for that week (£160 for a child). Ensuite, breakfast and afternoon tea is included, as well as an end of week evening meal. Restaurants are a 5 minute walk away and very affordable, even on the mountain!
Apres ski includes the hot spring aqua park (which your son will love!), ice hockey nights and go-karting. We have two sons of our own who will be here, and another family with teenage children booked to stay.
Any arrival day is fine, so if you want to take advantage of cheaper flights and book a tues-tues thats no problem.
There's a kids ski club with English instructors called Maxiland which your son will be able to join.

We have a twin en-suite room available from 6th April for the week in our seven bedroom catered chalet in the lovely village of St Jean d'Aulps just outside Morzine. The price for the two of you would be £767. We have other children booked into the chalet at the same time.
Food is exceptionally important to us and we can promise you food way beyond the usual chalet menu. We have a Certificate of Excellence on Trip Advisor so please do have a look to see what other guests think of us. The above price includes cooked and continental breakfast, afternoon tea with home-made cakes and four course evening meal with wine on six nights (Wednesdays is our day off).
We shuttle you to and from the lifts of your choice everyday so you don’t need to worry about walking or waiting around for ski buses. The local lifts at Pleney, Ardent, Prodain or Super Morzine are around 10 minutes drive away and we also have a smaller, unlinked resort called Roc D’Enfer just two minutes from the chalet which is a real hidden gem.
The chalet has an outside hot tub, sauna, large lounge area with open log fire and separate bar area with well stocked honesty bar. We are within walking distance of local shops, bars and restaurants.
We can arrange transfers from Geneva (only 75 minutes away) for an additional cost and help to organise ski lessons at one of the numerous British run ski schools.
