| We're looking for the impossible! A nice family room in a chalet really close to the slopes, with a log fire and good food, on a budget. Needs to be in France as we are driving from near Paris.
The additional caveat is that we have two options - four nights for all of us (28th - 1st), or perhaps my husband can take the rest of the week off to stay on with the kids until Saturday 5th. I definitely have to go back to work near Paris, and would need to return by train in that case.

Our chalet-hotel offers half board accommodation in snow sure Plagne 1800, part of the Paradiski area. We are next to the slopes and two chair lifts, with the ski school meeting point just across the street.
Facilities include:

Covered parking at the hotel is 50 euros a week but there is outdoor parking nearby if preferred. Eurostar travellers have just a short ride up the mountain to reach us so there are no lengthy transfers.

I can certainly help you with this if you are leaving on the first. The chalet is not slopeside but we offer a door to lift minibus service at your convenience. It is a 6 bed chalet in a typical Savoyarde village that we converted 15 years ago from a 300 year old barn. We offer a very personalised service and you can take the chalet catered or self catered and would have it to yourselves. This year I have people arriving for the Russian New year so they don't arrive until the 1st so I could offer it to you at a very good price to 'fill in the gap'.
