In general, we are not too concerned about any one specification and are willing to compromise on most things (e.g. a bus to the slopes is undesirable, but not a dealbreaker if it means a spacious and well-furnished chalet at a good price).

Chalet Blanche is a large 3 storey chalet in its own grounds with ample private parking and large terraces and an outdoor hot tub, less than 10 minutes level walk from Chamonix centre. For non skiers there is plenty to occupy you during the day.
Take a trip on the Montenvers Tramway to the Mer de Glace at the foot of the Vallee Blanche and explore the ice caves also the cable car that takes you up to the Aguille de Midi (3000m) 360 degree spectacular views. Explore the shops and cafes in Chamonix Centre or pamper yourself with an in house massage. Alternatively visit the large spa centre.

Chalet Namika is an independently run chalet by Ian and myself (June). We aim to provide a relaxing atmosphere where you can chill out after an exciting days skiing. Chalet Namika is a ski in, ski out chalet situated on the sunny slopes of Alpe d’Huez which benefits from glacier skiing. We offer a high level of service with excellent food and complimentary fine wines, beer and spirits with evening meals.
Chalet Namika sleeps 16 people in either twin or triple rooms ( all en-suite )

Hotel Au Coin du Feu is a full service hotel with a chalet style atmosphere. Our 17 unique bedrooms are perfect for couples and families alike. We have a hot-tub, sauna, massage room, private bar and five course evening meals for adults. All our rooms can be booked for seven nights half board or for short breaks.
Chalet Plan des Rochers is 80 meters from the hotel and can be booked for exclusive use or by individual bedrooms. Fully catered and staffed with the same standards and facilities as our hotel, Plan des Rochers also benefits from an excellent ski to door location.
Chalet des Amis is next door to Au Coin du Feu so can be used as a private chalet or as an annex to the hotel. It sleeps up to 8 people in 3 bedrooms, is ski to door and shares the spa facilities of the hotel. It has it's own private chef but there is the option of joining guests at Au Coin du Feu if there is space in the dining room.

It has 4 bedrooms with 4 bathrooms a super wide living room, private ski locker and is located in the very center of Alpe d'Huez, 2 minutes walk to ski start and bars and restaurants.
Alpe d'Huez is at 1800m of altitude and has one of the longest slopes of the world. It is world famous also for Tour de France and because it welcomes the festival Tomorrowland.
For 10 people the price would be 2911€ with linens and towels provided from Sunday 6th to Sunday 13th (please be advised that we rent from Sunday to Sunday to avoid traffic jams in the valley!).

- Busy resort (preferable - or at least easy access to)
- Open to 4-day or 5-day week as well as conventional 7-day stay
- 4/5 bedrooms minimum (4 couples + 1 person at present)
Resort:
- Ideally 3 Valleys or Portes du Soleil
- Ideally 1800m+ altitude (December snow concerns)
- MUST be suitable for beginners (1 or 2 in party)
- Ideally has enough runs for advanced skiers
Budget:
- Somewhat price-sensitive, but flexible
In general, we are not too concerned about any one specification and are willing to compromise on most things (e.g. a bus to the slopes is undesirable, but not a dealbreaker if it means a spacious and well-furnished chalet at a good price).
