Les Gets is a pretty village in Haute Savoie, part of the Portes du Soleil, offering a warm welcome both winter and summer.
Just 6km from Morzine, Les Gets is linked to it's larger neighbour by the Pleney lifts.
It is a traditional dairy-farming village dating from the 12th century and it has retained a relaxed and family-orientated feel.
Les Gets' ski area is on the slopes on both sides of the valley. As it is a lower resort much of the slopes are grass covered in the summer - meaning that skiing can take place on lesser snow depths than on higher altitude rocky slopes.
Lots of great activities make Les Gets a good choice for a summer holiday. Hiking trails and mountain biking are particularly popular activities. Les Gets and the surrounding area is a regular venue for some of the alpine stages of the Tour de France.
The village has traditional atmosphere and during the summer months the many festivals and events that take place add to the charm of this lovely village.
With a car, Geneva, Annecy, Chamonix-Mont Blanc can be easily reached for days out..
