The Natural Park of Val Troncea, with great natural beauty is closed to motorized traffic in the summer months, which makes this mountain village even more special.
The village is dominated by the development of chalets which form the Clubmed resort - a luxury development catering for couples and families of all abilities.
The 2006 Winter Olympics have helped to make this town famous for ski jumping and for cross-country skiing, with its extensive, well-maintained cross country area.
It is a medium sized ski resort with 8 ski lifts (1 gondola, 3 chair lifts, 4 surface lifts) that offers skiers an incredible 1200 metres (3937 feet) of vertical descent. Pragelato has 7 pistes.
