January 2014. Excellent accommodation suitable for large party or two families (we were 12). Plenty of seating at large table for dining and in large sitting room with lovely log fire, plus additional living rooms to enable different activities e.g. watching TV. Plenty of bathrooms and dedicated ski/boot room make it an easy chalet to use. Handy for the ski buses and nearer to the start of the route so you always get on. 5 minute walk to big supermarket, about 20 minute walk into the village. We found the owner to be very attentive and he seemed to have thought of everything. Chalet le Reve 07 Jan 16

February 2014. Convenient. Not ski in ski out, but yards from the free fare bus stop, and near an outstanding supermarket for those who want to self cater. Eating out in Chatel is good and reasonable compared with some Alpine resorts. Plenty of car parking space. Car hire from Geneva airport is probably the easiest and quickest form of transport. Plenty of free parking at the ski centres. Across the road from the cross country ski area. Chalet le Reve 07 Jan 16

February 2014. We stayed at the apartment for 5 days. Its a lovely location and the layout of the apartment is fantastic for kids and adults. The Basement is like its own self contained flat which is ideal if 2 or more families sharing and wanting alittle space. After a day of skiing theres nothing better than a relaxing evening infront of the log fire. There is a free bus service that runs from outside and takes you to the 2 ski lifts and the local supermarket this runs every 15 mins. Lawrence was very helpful and had a good knowledge of the surrounding areas. Would highly recommend.

February 2015. We have just returned from a half term break staying at Le Reve. From the moment we enquired about the chalet, Lawrence was fabulous. He was on hand to answer all of our questions and even sent us weather updates leading up to our departure. As a large party of 12 (3 families) the chalet was perfect. The beds were extremely comfortable, the living areas fantastic and the log fire was amazing. Bathrooms plentiful so no arguments over who got to use the shower first. The kitchen was well equipped and we even managed to produce a huge sunday roast. The living area has to be the best feature of the chalet. When the fire was roaring, everyone snuggled down with a glass of wine or hot choc, the conversations were about the days adventures. In fact our 6 teenagers only ventured downstairs to use the huge plasma tv twice! The bus stop to take you to the nearest lift is just across the road and the supermarket is a 10 minute walk(max). I cant praise the chalet or Lawrence highly enough and would definitely return. Chalet le Reve 07 Jan 16

March 2015.

March 2015. I stayed here for a few days and can honestly say I can't wait to go back. The chalet is beautiful- it is spacious, and has everything that you will need. The surrounding area is delightful, with the village of Chatel just a few minutes away. The facilities at the chalet are fantastic, and I highly recommend it to anyone! Chalet le Reve 07 Jan 16

December 2015. This is the second time this year that I have come to Chalet Le Reve, this time with my girlfriend and her family. After a fantastic trip in March this year, I was extremely excited to come back here, and again it exceeded my expectations. Booking was very simple, and I was really taken care of throughout my stay with any questions/queries that I had. The chalet is a perfect size, and is nice and spacious. Since last time I stayed, the walls have been wood panelled, which looks really great and also makes the chalet very cozy, perfect for watching a DVD on the large TV downstairs! There is a supermarket located conveniently just a 1 minute drive/5 minute walk away, and the village and ski slopes are also very close by. I can't wait to hopefully return again for another great break, and I want to give a huge thank you to Lawrence for making sure everything was smooth from start to finish. Having stayed at many other chalets in both Chatel and the surrounding areas during recent years, I can honestly say that Chalet Le Reve is at the top of its game and there is no comparison with other chalets - it really cannot be beaten! 'Second visit to the Chalet'

This is our 2nd visit to the Chalet as we had such a great experience last January. We were not disappointed. Chalet Reve is so comfortable and homely. Lovely to have a wood fire to sit around in the evening. Shopping is easy as the supermarket is so close and as we had planned meals in advance and written a shopping list we collected everything apart from bread in one visit (organised a pickup). We love the area so much that we have just rebooked the chalet for a week in summer. The personal touch makes all the difference and your service is second to none.

'Fantastic chalet and great amenities'

This chalet was fantastic and ideal for our skiing trip. The location was great, situated on a quiet street and very close to the supermarket which was great as we were self catering. The log fire in the main living room made it very cosy and was a treat when coming in off the piste. The amenities were great and plenty of bathrooms etc for our groups needs. The handover/takeover of the chalet was straight forward with the chalet manager and we had no problems whatsoever over our week. I will be returning again without a doubt and would recommend this chalet highly. The skiing in resort was excellent and the town is around 15 minute walk however there are plenty of buses that pass by the chalet and the nearest bus stop is 50m away. Great chalet, very clean and looked after. Thanks for a great holiday.

'A warm and spacious chalet in a good location'

This is a perfect place for groups of friends and family as there is a number of separate living areas. Lots of bathrooms too. Close to bus makes it easy to get anywhere and with the large supermarket within 5 mins walk you could stay here without needing a car. Decor is simple, functional and tasteful. A great find.

'Everything we wanted and a wonderful find'

We had a wonderful time in the chalet, it has a charming family feel to it and the accommodation worked well for us. We have children who enjoyed their own space while we enjoyed the quiet relaxed lounge area. The chalet is well equipped for self catering breaks and offers loads of space. It's ideally placed for all the ski areas and the buses run frequently from the road outside. The ski area has a huge amount to offer and we all ski well. We really enjoyed our stay and will return.

'A perfect home-from-home'

This is one of the best chalets we have rented for a large group. It is really spacious and exceptionally well equipped. So cozy and comfortable. Having a bathroom for every bedroom was ideal and the extra apartment downstairs was great for the teenagers in our group to have their own space to watch DVD's or listen to music while the adults relaxed in front of the roaring log fire with a glass of wine. There is a large selection of the latest movies and a bookshelf full of books and a variety of board games at the chalet - so no reason to be bored! Having two kitchens made cooking for 12 really easy and two fridges accommodated all the food for such a large group. Lawrence, the owner, is an exceptional host, sending much information on the resort, bus routes and practical information before we even left home. He recommended Al for transfers who provided an excellent service cheaper than any other company online. Andy the chalet manager picked up our lift passes and left them at the chalet for us on arrival. We used skihire2u for our equipment and it was as simple as providing the required information online before departure and all our gear was delivered and adjusted at the chalet on the eve of our arrival and collected on the eve before our departure - all hassle free and at a substantial discount! The large and well equipped supermarket a five minute walk awayhad a wide selection of foodstuffs which made catering very easy.

'Amazing chalet in a great location'

Wonderful fire in the chalet which was traditional and comfortable. Chatel is part of the Porte du Soleil which links with other resorts in both France and Switzerland. In fact there are more pistes and lifts than at the Trois Vallees. Chatel is typically Savoyard and is a farming community. It is straightforward and unpretentious and yet the skiing is varied and excellent catering for all standards.
Only 90 minutes from Geneva airport, a car may be desirable, but not a necessity, as the whole resort is served by an efficient free bus system. The village boasts good restaurants, a cinema, bars, and the chalet is very near a large well stocked supermarket.
In short, this is quite excellent value all round.

'Lovely welcoming chalet, layout especially suited for children'

Large and cosy chalet, with real fire which was lovely to relax in front of after a hard days ski-ing. Layout was very good, with TV area downstairs which the children could retreat to after dinner to watch a film, whilst adults could relax and chat in the comfortable lounge. Property well equipped for self catering, especially since the largest supermarket I have ever seen in a ski resort (in over 30 years of ski-ing) was a short walk down the road.
Plenty of bathrooms for all, with lots of very hot water each night, together with soft fluffy towels (I even made a note of the make to look at getting some back home), all contributed to a great holiday. The owner couldn't have been more helpful in answering my many questions before the holiday, and the facility to have the lift passes delivered was much appreciated. Thanks you for letting us share your lovely base in the mountains.

We are a ski club and winter holiday abroad every year. The Chalet Le Reve was just perfect for our needs. Its a wonderful homely chalet and so comfortable with a spacious lounge, great long dinning table and a wonderful log fire to sit around at night to discuss our days skiing. The facilities were great with 6 bedrooms and bathrooms situated over 3 floors, so plenty of room for our group to find personal space. We cooked in every night and the kitchen was well stocked enabling us to provide some scrummy meals.
The regular bus service to Chatel stops near the chalet and its only a short drive to the lifts, so no car needed. Large supermarket 5 mins walk away great for self catering.
We are all experienced skiers and loved the challenge of the Port de Soleil ski area. We especially loved skiing Chatel and the wilder scenery and stunning views of Champousson and Champery.Last but not least I must say a big big thank you to Lawrence. He was the perfect host, nothing was too much trouble. He was always willing to answer any questions and give advice. We loved his home and hope to return there soon.

Excellent bedrooms on different levels to give privacy to different family members, wonderful log fire as the centre point of the chalet. All room good sizes but never lost its intimate feel. Excellent bus service, regular and great fun. Great village particularly the evening. Lots of varied slopes to die for. Lawrence couldn't have been more helpful. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend it.

All of the family were of the same opinion that it is a wonderful place to stay, finished to a high standard, in what we consider to be our favourite ski destination. The chalet was perfect for our party of 12, in allowing the families some of their own space if required, whilst retaining the togetherness of the communal lounge/dining area. The kids especially loved the ground floor area and spent many evenings chilling out down stairs.

We cooked in every night and found the kitchens very well provided with enough pots, pans, cutlery etc.The beds were very comfortable, with really nice quality sheets, quilts and pillows. The towels provided were soft and fluffy and there was plenty of hot water at all times. We liked the décor/family feel of the chalet and felt welcomed into someone’s house rather than simply renting a chalet.Lawrence couldn't have been more helpful in the lead up to our holiday.

The ski area is excellent and taking everything into account rates as our favourite destination to date. It has everything for all the family.

Chalet Le Reve is just the most wonderful escape! Located just a short drive from the fantastic slopes of Chatel, the chalet offers everything you would hope for either on a summer or ski holiday. The open fire in the lounge is just lovely and there is plenty of space, offering flexibility for different size and age groups. Little touches around the chalet give the feeling of a home away from home; in fact it's so warm and inviting, it can be quite hard to tear yourself away from it during the day.

The one point I would make, is that whist it is possible to get a local bus into the village and ski lifts, on both occasions that we have stayed there, we have hired a car and I would absolutely recommend this for anyone considering the chalet for their trip.

The chalet owner; Lawrence, can only be described as the perfect host. Nothing is too much trouble for him and he always goes over and beyond the call of duty to make certain yor holiday is nothing but perfect. From directions and assistance in booking your holiday, to guiding you back to the airport; step by step for your return home, his attention to detail is first class! Can't wait to go back in 2013!

A great chalet for groups of families with children. We stayed at Chalet Le Reve with a group of three families with 5 children ranging from 7 - 10 years old. The layout of the chalet really lent itself to this type of group as it had two living rooms - one in the basement level where a large flat screen television was located and one on the ground floor where a real log fire and dining room was located. At the end of a day's skiing, the children could relax downstairs in front of a DVD while us parents could sit and relax with a vin chaud in front of the fire. There was also plenty of bathrooms with one for each bedroom on the top floor and the dining and ground floor living area could easily have accommodated another family. The location of the chalet was also very convenient as it was very near to a large supermarket and only about 5 mins drive from Chatel village where there was an abundance of restaurants for every different budget. Pre La Joux was about 10-15 mins drive away and was great for learning and also for the more advanced skier as linked up to the areas of Avoriaz, Morzine as well as numerous Swiss resorts. Super Chatel which was about 5 mins drive away also had lots of beautiful blue and red runs. The chalet owner, Lawrence, was extremely helpful in all regards and made sure that all our queries were answered in detail. I would definitely recommend this chalet to anyone looking for a ski holiday in a beautiful family friendly location with access to one of the largest and most varied ski areas in the region.

A comfortable chalet close to some great skiing. This large but cosy chalet was perfect for families with kids who can have their own floor complete with own lounge area and TV. Sitting round the roaring fire was a perfect way to end a great day's skiing in the huge Porte du Soleil area with its abundance of wide slopes and easy skiing access to other resorts and to Switzerland. All levels of skiing catered for within this area.

The chalet was close to the pretty town of Chatel, very close to other amenities e.g. supermarket and accessible to Geneva, about 1 and a half hours away.

There is plenty of useful information from the owner who provided an excellent service.

We had a fantastic week at your super chalet. We really enjoyed our skiing and conditions were perfect, snow, sun and no queues at lifts, excellent!!! Location of the chalet was ideal being right on the bus route, so no need for us to get the car out. It was lovely to return to a burning log fire after a hard days skiing! There was plenty of comfortable seating to accommodate all of our large party of 12, so no fights over the sofas, always a bonus. It was very reassuring to receive your telephone calls enquiring if everything was to our satisfaction, communication was excellent. We have already been singing the praises of your beautiful chalet to our friends and hope to return ourselves in the future.

Thank you so much Lawrence for all your help in ensuring our holiday was so enjoyable. Chalet Le Reve is a lovely comfortable chalet with a very homely & cared-for feeling. The location could not have been better especially for self-catered as the supermarket is a 5-minute walk away or you can take the bus (one stop). On the last night we booked the restaurant you recommended with free pick-up and return. We hired ski gear near the lift and left it there every night so no walking in ski boots. Heaven! The weather and snow were perfect. There was plenty of skiing covered by the Chatel pass and even the advanced skiers were satisfied. We will certainly return to Chatel and highly recommend Chalet Le Reve.

Thank you for a great holiday and a perfect start! You arranged for lift passes and ski hire at the chalet to get us on the slopes the next day. We got the fire going in the living room and relaxed whilst at the same time being fitted with skis and boots. We were all very comfortable in the Chalet, sitting round the wonderful log fire, dining in the chalet or just taking a well-earned rest in bed. With 6 bathrooms/shower rooms we all had access to our own bathrooms - it was great!
