Our second ski trip-brilliant!
We were as close to being beginners on the slope as we are prepared to admit, but had a FANTASTIC time! From the excellent guidance in choosing our hire gear, to the lessons that gave us the confidence to explore the different runs, we found friendly , helpful people.
The lifts were easy to use, and well manned,so access to the ski runs was simple, and we could almost ski back to the chalet door on our return! If we didn't want to return at mid-day, we ate in the bustling restaurant on the slopes. Yum!
The chalet was a dream. To come off the snow into the toasty, timbered rooms, have a hot shower then relax in the big comfy chairs was bliss. It was as much fun to stay in and luxuriate, as it was to wander down into town for the 'Apres'.
Our bedroom looked out over the town and mountains, and was lit each evening by a red glow from the setting sun. From the dining room, we could watch people on the slopes wizz by,and later on see the eerie Piste-Bashers going out to work
Sometimes we would eat in, as the kitchen was so well equipped and easy to use,and other evenings we explored the recommended restaurants in the town,(many of which it was possible to walk to).
We found a shop selling photo frames that had period style photos for display. We could not resist trying to stage our own version of these, with a backdrop of the mountains at the back of the house! I think the snow had really gone to our heads!
