Cervinia - Ski, Snowboard & Summer Holidays
As one of the highest resorts in the Italian Alps, Cervinia has guaranteed snow throughout the winter and also offers decent summer skiing on its glacier. Situated on the Italian side of the Matterhorn, the Italian name for this famous natural landmark is Il Cervino. The resort was first developed in the 1930's. Today it is a modern ski resort believed by many to be Italy's best.
It has long gentle runs, great for beginners and less confident intermediates, and experts also have the option to cross over to Zermatt for more challenging terrrain. There is a joint lift pass available covering both areas, or you can buy a day upgrade to sample what the Swiss side has to offer.
Cervinia's main slopes are located in a high, sunny bowl. It has some of the highest pistes in Italy, and some of the longest.
