The first floor is the heart of the chalet; the main living area has an open plan feel, with a living room, dining room and kitchen, the main focus being the central log fire. The living area has a double height ceiling with beautiful wooden beams.

There are panoramic windows with a large balcony. Here you can relax after a day of activities on the mountain, take in the views, relax and enjoy both the beautiful interior and exterior surroundings. In the living area there is a plasma screen with satellite TV, lots of DVD’s and games if you want to stay in and relax in the chalet.

The mezzanine living area is on the second floor, in the roof of the chalet. Here you can watch TV, read a book and admire the view. There is an outside balcony where you can sit in the morning with a cup of tea and enjoy the morning sun.

"Altogether fabulous!
Location, views, comfortable bed, shower. Breakfast was the best we’ve ever had in a B&B. Sam and Matt were the most friendly, kind and considerate hosts. Fabulous chalet with lovely shared sitting and dining rooms. We also very much liked Frank and Pat, although sadly not everyone will have the pleasure of their company. We were lucky!
Liked everything"

"The whole house is espectacular, but Samantha and Mat are just amazing. Their took care of us like if we were part of their family being prepared until the tinniest detail making you feel like you are at your home. They provide us all kind of information as well as advice us to enjoy our stay in an unbeatable way. I can only say that I would love to be able to come back again, because our experience has been INCREDIBLE." 10 Jul 19

"Luxurious and spacious
We stayed with Sam and Matt for a few nights at the beginning of April - 4 adults and 3 children aged 6 - 9 years. We all enjoyed our stay very much. Matt drove us to whichever lifts we wanted to go to every morning and picked us up at the end of the day.

The chalet was very spacious, clean and luxurious. You can see that much thought was gone into building this chalet with expensive fixtures and fittings - I particularly loved the 'Wolf' cooker! It is a short walk into Chatel, which is a fantastic town.

Food was delicious too.

We are definitely planning to come back, and my husband will also return for mountain biking in the summer."

"My husband, myself and our two daughters spent a long weekend at Chalet Carnauba in mid January 2019. We were met by a very welcoming Sam who settled us in our rooms and gave us a quick tour of the chalet. The chalet is beautiful with lots of nice design features including the access to ski and boot room from the chalet, lovely ensuite rooms, a beautiful fire place, jacuzzi to name but a few. One of my daughters and myself had been on a detox at our gym so we were looking forward to some guilt free meals. The food was fantastic, very well prepared, healthy and lots of it, in fact I think we all got to the point where we were struggling to eat all of the courses. We chose a light breakfast rather than a cooked one and there was everything you could ask for, even home baked bread. The home made afternoon cake was also something to look forward to. Matt and Sam were very attentive and accomodating hosts both with a great sense of fun and lots of local knowledge. We also got to meet Paisley, the dog who we all fell in love with. The town was within an easy 10 minute walk and we were easily able to explore all of the local skiing area thanks to the drop off at the lifts each morning by Matt. We took the Porte du Soleil lift pass as we had skied Les Gets, Morzine and Avoriaz previously and it was easy to access these ares from Chatel. As you can probably tell we fell in love with the place and hope to return soon, perhaps I shouldn't have given such a good review ............" 10 Jul 19

"Fantastic!
My husband and I stayed at Chalet Carnauba with 4 friends for a long weekend skiing trip in February. Sam and Matt were the perfect hosts from start to finish. They were friendly, lively and fun to be with at the same time as being very professional in all the services they provide. Our ski hire equipment was delivered to us at the chalet at the beginning of our stay and collected at the end. Sam organised our lift passes for us which were ready on our first day. Two services which make a huge difference on a ski holiday. Whilst the chalet wasn’t on the slopes Matt drove us the short distance to the lifts each morning and getting back was easy on the resort bus or Matt was happy to picked us up.
The chalet is both spectacular and comfortable, the en suite bedrooms and living spaces were a pleasure to be in. All the food prepared for us was excellent from the cooked breakfast, home made cake to a three or four course dinner in the evening.
We all wholeheartedly recommend a holiday in Chalet Carnauba and say thanks to Matt and Sam for looking after us so well."

"All round excellent
We have just come back from a 5 day stay at Chalet Carnauba and cannot recommend it highly enough. The chalet is beautifully designed, very comfortable and clean. The rooms are clean and spacious and everything is thought of - the beds are super comfy, the towels are thick and fluffy and I love the toiletries provided. Matt and Sam are excellent hosts, super friendly and helpful and cannot do enough to make sure your stay is as comfortable as possible. Châtel is a great resort to stay in for skiing - it has a good amount of its own pistes but links up to Avoriaz and the whole of the Portes du Soleil area which is vast. We are definitely going to return. 5 stars all round."

"10 out of 10!!
My partner and I stayed with Sam and Matt for a week in February. We had an absolutely faultless stay, they were attentive and friendly and we were treated to delicious food every night by the in chalet chef. The transfers to the lifts were extremely helpful although there is a very efficient bus service that stops on the road out side. The town centre is a 5-10 minute walk away and its possible to ski/snowboard back to the chalet if there is enough snow around.
The chalet itself was outstanding and always in immaculate condition. Could not rate this place enough and will definitely be thinking about visiting again!"

"Alpine Heaven at the Swiss-French Border
We had a short escape for a skiing weekend. I was not expecting that much positives from a last minute decision. Sam and Matt, owner-operator family were very friendly and professional at the same time. Chalet had been brand new, 4 bedroom Alpine House with a living-dining space with a good taste of the fireplace. Decoration, Architecture, in short was everything was great. Thanks Sam, Math. We would strongly recommend to ski lovers. And will come back for spring, summer to explore the Alpine summer vacation surprises!"

"Wonderful hosts, amazing chalet!!
Just finished a week here and we loved it! Interior is incredible (think the fireplace was my favourite part!) chalet is super clean and bedroom / en suite were both lovely and spacious. Views of the mountains can be enjoyed throughout thanks to the large windows all around the chalet. Sam and Matt are wonderful hosts! Lifts to and from the slopes were quick and you can also walk to the nearby town in 10 minutes. The food was delicious - all prepared by a chef who cooked everything from artichoke soup, to Thai green curry, pork belly, Moroccan style lamb, home made ice cream and sticky toffee pudding to name a few! Thanks for an awesome week, would definitely recommend this chalet, we will be back!"

"Fabulous
Sam and Matt welcomed us on arrival and within 24 hours we felt like old friends, you could not ask for nicer people. The Chalet itself is brand new and has been finished and furnished to the highest standard possible. The location is perfect with a very short walk into the village and easy access to chair lifts for the winter season.
Delicious breakfast and great value for money.
What more could you want?"

"WOW! Five star wooden chalet
Lovely new chalet, tastefully decorated, great rooms with comfy beds, splendid view from the big guest living room with veranda, at walking distance from village. You can easily park here, also a big plus in Chatel. We've had a wonderful time at Carnauba thanks to Samantha & Matt, our hosts. Each morning a lovely breakfast with freshly baked croissants and bread, fruit, juice, cereals etc. Highly recommended!"
