Looking for a catered ski holiday for family of 6 (2 adults, and 4 children under 10) in the La Plagne area.
We are obviously limited to February half-term week 14-18 Feb, so would be looking for 7 nights accommodation (Saturday 12th check-in, checking out on Saturday the 19th), with 6 days of skiing.
It is possible that two grandparents may join us, but not certain.
Rough guide to our proposed requirements are below:
- Some clear financial protections in terms of Covid, in case we are forced to cancel
- Parking space
- Catered chalet accommodation (not a hotel)
- Preferably ski-in, ski-out, but happy for a short walk to slopes, or the chalet to provide minibus to slopes. Do not want anything involving getting all the kids on a bus.
- A resort that is convenient for our journey by car from England and has lots of slopes suitable for beginners.
(We know La Plagne is ideal for this, but would be happy to look at other resorts)
- Happy to stay in shared chalet if cheaper, but would obviously want other guests to be aware that we are a family with young children who can be noisy!!
- Decent choice of English-speaking ski schools, as for 3 of our children it will be the first time skiing.
- Hot tub good, but not a deal breaker
- Not particularly bothered about any apres-ski
Questions I would also have would be:
- cost of an adult lift pass, and child lift pass, for this week
- ski-school recommendations
- equipment hire recommendations | At a glance:- Looking for a holiday
- Preferably in La Plagne but open to suggestions
- From 12/2/2022 to 18/2/2022
- Catered
- 4-8 people
