Located just a couple of kilometres from the Italian border Montgenevre is a good base from which to explore this historical area.
Montgenevre is in the French sector of the extensive Milky Way ski area, allowing you to ski over to Sestriere and Sansicario. The local area is also means you can ski accross the border to nearby Cesana. The village is quite charming with a traditional old church.
In the summertime there is a wealth of activities in and around Montgenevre, plus the beautiful old town of Briançon is close by.
