We're conveniently located between Châtel and Pré-la-Joux, with a ski-bus stop just a couple of minutes' walk from the chalet. The Linga and Pré-la-Joux lifts are both approximately 5 minutes away by car, offering excellent access to the wider Portes du Soleil ski area, including Avoriaz. There's also free parking at the chalet if you're bringing your own vehicle.

Yes! The 1861 Bar is within walking distance of the chalet and is a great local spot for an après-ski drink. Châtel village centre is approximately 8 minutes away by car, with a good selection of bars, restaurants and shops. And of course, with six home-cooked evening meals included in our standard catered week, you can enjoy most evenings relaxing at the chalet, perhaps with a drink in the outdoor hot tub!

Yes! Alpine Friends is exclusively yours for the duration of your stay. You'll have private use of all four ensuite guest bedrooms, the lounge, dining area and outdoor hot tub, with no other holidaymakers sharing the accommodation. We live in a separate, private part of the chalet, so we're on hand to prepare your meals and help with anything you need, while giving you plenty of space and privacy to enjoy your holiday together.

Our standard seven-night stay includes a freshly prepared breakfast each morning, afternoon tea with homemade cakes, and six home-cooked evening meals accompanied by wine. We also welcome you with drinks on arrival, and take care of the cooking and washing up throughout your stay. For shorter holidays, we adjust the catering to suit the length of your stay, leaving you free to enjoy the mountains and relax at the chalet.

Not at all! 8 is our maximum capacity, not a minimum. We welcome smaller groups of friends and families too, and you'll still enjoy exclusive use of the chalet. Our advertised prices are for the whole chalet rather than individual rooms, but we're always happy to discuss your group size and provide a personalised quote for your stay.

Absolutely! We offer flexible catered stays of five to seven nights, so you're not restricted to a traditional week-long ski holiday. Saturday and Sunday arrivals are preferred, although other arrival days may be possible depending on availability. Simply get in touch with your preferred dates and group size, and we'll be happy to discuss the options.
